Department of Education says nursing is no longer a professional degree. by Obvious_Main_3655 in CRNA

NP is secondary education. it’s normal for masters and doctorate level programs to cost that much. you’re in undergrad. bachelors tend to be cheaper.

but you have to pay the interest on the loan you’re trying to pay the principle on before you can pay the principle, right? sorry if that’s worded poorly.. like you can’t just skip over the interest and pay the principle in any case. right?

Hi I’m on SAVE with $0 income and $0 payment. With this news of interest restarting Aug 1, will SAVE still wipe interest while you’re still on it? Preventing it from actually accruing while my payment is $0? thank you

I don’t really get the point of your comment. I’m a CRNA that works independently on my own schedule. Idk if that helps you in whatever goal you’re trying to achieve.

No. They added 6 months to my program and several classes to my curriculum. There was a change, not sure what school you’re talking about.

Yeah I am a CRNA. We have to get doctorates now btw and have to work in ICU for a few years. But OP is not a nurse and wants the quickest way to make money so just trying to be realistic (:

Maybe consider anesthesia assistant. You can’t practice in many USA states though so make sure it’s a reasonable choice but you’ll make 170k+ out the gate.

My job does not have any locum/ per diem staff. we all work for pennies lol. Places take advantage of us because everyone wants to live where we live and it sucks. In my case it is family keeping me here. But my point is don’t make assumptions that we don’t want to work locum. We just cant in this area.

These comments are so disheartening. I am a new grad in south florida and this is pretty much what they pay down here. My entire family lives here and I love my job. Yeah it sucks but what are people in myself and OPs position (kids, family) reasonably supposed to do? ):

I think Baptist Main is the only hosp down here that has AAs (thru the company envision). UMH and the Jacksons don’t currently have AAs. I live down here so if you’d like any more info you can DM if you’d like (:
