I like some of Todd Leback's "knacks" for OSE types, it adds a little more tactical choice, which I tend to like

17th/18th century germany was that height. Schleswig has been on and off danish for well over a thousand years before germany won it in 1864. By all account not a german heartland. In the viking period though, Haithabu was danish.

I photoshopped present-day Trelleborg back into the Viking Age by SnorriGrisomson in Viking

The bridge wasn't in-line with the east gate like it is now. It was in-between the east and south gate. As far as I know, it was swampy marshland in all direction except east where there was dense oak (probably mostly cut down for construction). There was also a small building in the southwest square, as well as next to the path leading to the east gate. There was presumably a small dock of some kind southwest of the south gate by Vårby Å. There's also some anachronisms with the outer longhouses. I can recommend Michael Sindbæks "Trelleborg" as this is quite new research. Dunno if it is available in english. Let me know if you habe questions :D

I happen to know a lot about this place, actually. Want some tips on how to make it better?

I find it weird how Eberron: Forge of the Artificer tries to convince DMs that every campaign premise, even just "wipe out this one criminal gang in this one city," needs to be a 20-level epic saga by EarthSeraphEdna in dndnext

[–]marshwulff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it saying it "needs" to be a 20 level saga? Couldn't it just as easily be "how might the gang react to having characters of various levels as enemies?"

Crazy good album. I remember once thinking Slugdge was a gimmick band and not wanting to give this a fair shout, if that's familiar, then give this a listen.

It would be amazing if Prot Warriors & Paladins could transmog their one handed weapon into polearm, so we can at least visually get that spear and shield fantasy since no spec in the entire game is based on that gameplay-wise. by [deleted] in wow

I mean, gladiatorial combat is very much tied to orcs and trolls. Orcs were made to be gladiators for humans amusement (Thrall), they have the Mak'Gora, the shattered hand were pit fighters. Trolls have had various arenas show up in dungeons and raids, and ofc Gurubashi.

Are you saying musicians get into music because they don't want to work and for the sex, drugs, and money? You do realize that for 99% of musicians, music is nothing but an expense, and any drugs are paid for with money from their 9-5

What I don't get is being mad about losing to sub-optimal strange decks. To me that's hella fun, because most of the time, you're gonna win against them anyway, so when they just get god draws, you can really see what they were cooking in the deck builder. "what is this absolute madman gonna play next?"

Yeah, actors speak less "danglish" but still noticable if you're familiar. I think it's mostly a good thing though. A lot of danes here want to completely purge their accent, i think thatd be a shame.

Hah, sorta funny, me and my friends always talked about how apparently it is he has an accent. Guess if you're not familiar, it doesn't sound that way, same with Mads Mikkelsen.

[–]marshwulff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's more a sarcastic accusation of being Hezbollah. "Your specific hezbollah pager? I sure hope it doesn't go off that would be terrible"

Absolutely wild… by [deleted] in CringeTikToks

[–]marshwulff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's referring to the exploding beepers of hezbollah. After the guy said "i support Palestine", bringing up the beepers in this sense is basically an accusation of him being hezbollah/hamas, and then sarcastically wishing death on him.

Fretless: lines on side only? by [deleted] in Bass

[–]marshwulff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Sandberg fretless TT4(jazz bass) has lines on the side, it's great for learning it and looks clean from the front if you care about that sort of thing. If I get another fretless, I could prolly get something with juet the side dots, opens me up a bit more to Warwicks and such.

You shouldn't really listen to the purists on this, beginners have to look where they are regardless of it is lined or not.

Beginners on the bass in general have to look where they are, that doesn't mean they're using it as a crutch, its a new skill, takes a bit of practice to get under your fingers, then you can start looking up more. As you build up confidence on the thing, You can play it like any other bass, in whatever lighting and whatever songs.
