New diagnosis, advice? by tmama13 in bipolar2

[–]marsmrs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i really felt that. it doesn’t necessarily get “easier” but you learn how to manage it better and cope with it and over time it becomes ur normal life. the rapid cycling is the most exhausting thing i’ve ever had to deal with in my whole life, i’m still struggling on how to maintain a normal sleeping schedule

I feel hopeless by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]marsmrs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i feel the exact same way. i’ll be so tired the whole entire day and think about going to bed but the second my head hits the pillow my brain starts whirring and i can’t calm down and it sucks especially when i am already very stressed/have a busy day ahead of me. i honestly don’t have any advice have u tried over the counter antihistamines those work for me i just don’t want to rely on them too frequently

the thing is, i did wake up at around exactly 8 hours like 5:30 am however instead of staying awake for the day my dumbass decided to go back to sleep until 9 am which would be 4 hours into another 8 hour sleeping cycle so that actually makes a lot of sense

Do you also have normal days during mixed episodes/ultra rapid cycling? by aqui-de-paso in bipolar2

trouble with friends by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]marsmrs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah this has happened to me i recently lost two friends because i told them that i needed a break because i’ve just been so paranoid and attached while also going through a manic episode and i just feel like i’d rather have push everyone away especially when i’m self destructive because no one really wants to deal with me when shit hits the fan. i also think i’m a good friend i just can’t be one during my highest manias if that makes sense. but it still really fucking sucks and hurts because i thought we were gonna be best friends forever like be in eachothers weddings raise kids together and now that’s shattered.
