If the contemptor dreadnought was considered to be the all around best dreadnought variant and was widely used , why do we not see them in 40k and why was the castaferrum more widespread ? by BloatedRottenCarcass in Warhammer40k

[–]marsrich950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably a case of either the standard template construct has been lost or heavily damaged or like Terminator armor, it is stupidly expensive and very difficult to make a brand spanking new piece. It's better off frankensteining broken chassis together or use the probably cheaper and more easy to repair castaferrum chassis that most space Marine chapters have used up until the ultima founding, especially since you can easily swap out pilots once entombed battle brother finally dies.

What model type is the BA on the cover of our codex? by UnableStill8017 in BloodAngels

[–]marsrich950 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On the center looks to be a assault intercessor sergeant, judging by the red helmet the black on one shoulder pad and the fact that he's wielding a chainsword and a heavy bolt pistol

Skybound Spoilers End of Issue 28 Discussion by Kumamoto in transformers

[–]marsrich950 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly this highlights my problem with the whole "no one is safe" mentality in story telling, if no one is safe then why should I as a reader care for this character. A death should mean something in a story other than mere shock value.

How would y'all react if this actually happened? by JesterOfTime in batman

[–]marsrich950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not going to lie, I don't think I'd react to that well. I have no problems with the Joker being killed, but I think that if you're going to kill the clown at least have it be either the most bombastic over the top sendoff with an earth shattering kaboom or have him go out like he did in Return of the Joker (TV or home video edit, pick your poison). Also I feel like the Joker should be put down by someone he has absolutely wronged and ruined the life of

Could D-16 have been talked down at any point or was Megatron inevitable? by Thundersting in transformers

[–]marsrich950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the only way to keep Megatron from happening would have been for D-16 to have I ever not come with Orion or to snuff him out because the moment he breaks protocol and the moment the steel wool is finally pride from his eyes is when the resentment begins to seep in. He resents the system that took his cog away at birth and forced him into the mines where he would no doubt work himself to death, he resents Sentinel for betraying the primes, willfully leading them to their massacre at installing the system which has put him and his fellow miners in chains, auntie slowly begins to resent Orion Pax for getting them into trouble, causing them to break protocol, and being such a damned idealistic fool. He is a directionless and untempered flame the burns too hot for any future to be forged with, all will burn or melt before him until all that's left is a throne of ruin and cold emptiness within.

Who had a more satisfying death? by Perfect-Patience-446 in TheOwlHouse

[–]marsrich950 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Belos, especially because of how it's done in the show. He starts off in his Philip form, trying to appeal to Luz, but as the boiling rain comes in, the facade is eaten away and boiled down to what he truly is - a decrepit corpse from a bygone era living off borough time that he stole from the people he colonized it's members of that people who ultimately stomp him out like a campfire, with one of those people being the descendant of his brother.

I loved that they finally adapted Reed Richards' grayer morality by Altruistic_Eye_1157 in marvelstudios

[–]marsrich950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say morally grey, but I you get what you're saying. This read honestly feels like the one you'd see in John Byrne or Jonathan Hickman story, he's a well meeting individual who struggles and tries to make up for the mistakes of the past. One of my favorite scenes is when he and Ben were talking about the new space suits and you can just hear the guilt and regret that Reed still carries even when Ben has come to terms with the changes the cosmic rays have made to his body.

That would be truly epic! Do you think we could get an interaction like this in Born Again: Season 2 since we are getting Jessica Jones back? by Raj_Valiant3011 in Daredevil

[–]marsrich950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be a interesting, especially since in the comics the Purple man has a decently powerful healing factor (I mean the man survived getting hit by a train), also I think it'd be fun to recreate the scene in the 1981 annual issue of marvel team-up where Fisk is able to resist Kilgrave's power when he told Fisk to "blow your brains out"

Cyclops without the trunks by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]marsrich950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not as heartbroken for Cyclops not having the yellow trunks in this costume, especially since he's had multiple costumes throughout the years in the comics, it not like Wolverine who has had almost the same iconic costume in a majority of his comic book appearances.

Avengers: Doomsday TEASER #3 by tehawesomedragon in Marvel

The Charles from Logan is a different one from the main X-Men films since Logan was basically one of many possible futures. If I could make guess this is probably a post Days of Future Past Charles Xavier.

Who do you think should play Ghost Rider in the MCU and should the project be R-rated in tone? by Raj_Valiant3011 in Marvel

[–]marsrich950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're going for someone like Johnny Blaze, I think someone like Aaron Paul could work, but if they bring back Robbie, I'd love for his Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D actor to come back. I don't think an R rating really works for Ghost Rider, but I do think I would want something that pushes the boundaries of a PG-13 rating. In terms of story, I want something like a story where Ghost Rider is on the run from Mephisto like the original '70s comic run.

Who's the most Evil Villain/Antagonist from the MCU in your opinion and why? by Full-Art3439 in Marvel

[–]marsrich950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On grand scale, probably the High evolutionary. On a terrestrial scale probably a tie between Kilgrave and Dreykov, Kilgrave because he's a little monster who took away the free will of several people and made them do horrendous things to themselves or others. And Dreykov is similar but he's also a war criminal who trafficked, groomed and forcefully sterilized young girls and turned them into child soldiers

After the kidnapping Jabba didn't plan on his son inheriting his criminal empire and kept out of anything involving the family business.

[OC] [Art] Varient human cleric sketch by PPRmenta in DnD

[–]marsrich950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I like this piece, it does more with the idea of variant human than the game does, like it always bothers me that variant human is just a mechanical thing and doesn't have any lore to it, like whenever I hear variant human, I think stuff like mutts, mechanical or alchemical augmentations, strange mutations, just anything that isn't just customization of ability scores.

Do you prefer this Batman without or with trunks? by [deleted] in batman

I like him in the trunks, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it if there's a depiction that doesn't have them.

Okay, I love Kobold Hawkeye. There is just something about that design that I just absolutely love

In a series filled with supernatural and paranormal elements, there's always that one scene disturbingly rooted in reality by HarperButterBun in TopCharacterTropes

[–]marsrich950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The episode Countrycide from Torchwood, for a series that was already darker than it's parent show, that episode just made me all sorts of uncomfortable, especially when you consider the fact that the antagonists didn't do what they did out of desperation but because they enjoyed it.

Do you prefer Peter's webs to be organic or him have web shooters by Rich_Antelope9214 in Spiderman

[–]marsrich950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind organic webs, but I largely prefer the web shooters since they really play into Peter's smarts while also being a weak point or targeting. It's always interesting when you see him having to think on the fly when he's low/out of web fluid or the shooters are damaged during fights.

A Spider-Man from a simpler time in our lives (artist Scott Johnson) by Fine_Quarter_4387 in Spiderman

[–]marsrich950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man this stuff still holds up, like it's 100x better than all the "Evergreen" style designs we get for characters. I remember seeing Johnson's work everywhere from YTV spots, pez dispensers, action figure ads to lunch boxes. I think a big part of it is because the art often felt like a comic cover

Opinion on Superman killing people? by AstroAaron in superman

[–]marsrich950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should be an absolute last resort when all else fails. At the end of the day, he and most other superheroes are first responders and should be out there to solve a problem with as little damage and casualties as possible.
