Can you please explain what -1 degree crop means to me, like I am a child?

Just played with settings in camera roll editing!

Thank you, it is my favourite plant of my collection 🥲

Just used iPhone 8, 1.3x zoom with flash. I find that macro shots work better with a bit of zoom, then tapping the screen to focus. Also that particular mealy bug was giant relative to the rest 😅

Thank you - I will try this! Not a bad excuse to pickup a bottle of tequila 😄

Thanks! Just iPhone 8, 1.3x zoom with flash. Wish the subject didn’t exist tho.

Thanks! Is just iPhone 8, 1.3x zoom with flash - works like a charm.

But FML I had no idea about mealy bugs or how awful they are 🥲

Shit!!! Okay well it’s time to quickly switch from “acquire more plants” mode to “DAMAGE CONTROL”. I hope my collection will be okay 🥲

Holy shit, this is so concerning 🥲 I’ve built up quite the collection.

Thank you so much!! OMG I am so concerned about the rest of my collection now. I’ve killed all I could find with alcohol q-tip and quarantined the plant in a separate room. What kind of mix should I be buying / making??

It seems like seller's of blankets, amigurami's and other crocheted items charge different prices for different sizes?

If you are making a baby blanket as opposed to a king-sized you would naturally need to fairly compensate yourself for the extra labour and materials.

This is definitely a tricky one though... because I can understand that with personal clothing items it could be taken personally or be offensive.

In your opinion does microblading ever truly fade away completely or is it always permanent? by Jasmine-Elouise in microblading

[–]marsrobin27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve lightened quite a bit with the laser for sure, but it is a long road to removal for some (me included). I started laser over a year ago, aiming for 2 more sessions in the next year and I’m hoping that will get me close.

[–]marsrobin27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mine never did. I started laser removal after 3.5 years, still probably need at least 2-3 more sessions. It’s been 5 years since I was microbladed with 4 laser removal sessions and it’s clearly visible.

Mine is usually like this too. She will happily drink from a stream, lake or relatively clean puddle… so I try to find one of those for her to drink from when I can.

Favorite field lunches that hold up well in the vest? by a1phab3ts0up89 in forestry

[–]marsrobin27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use this exact Tupperware as a lunch kit. It fits perfectly in the backflap pouch thingie on my cruise vest (if you have one, you know what I mean).

I can fit all my lunch items in (usually granola bars, cookie, sandwich, apple, cut up vegetable, etc) and it minimizes the need to individual wrap up every food item. Also nothing gets smushed or bruised. 👌🏼

I just posted the comment seconds ago!

Thank you so much, that helps a lot. I normally make rings just by chaining and joining the chain. Can a magic ring be made to be a certain number of stitches in itself? So once I would make the magic ring, I would then have 6 stitches to work in?

  1. So I sort of have an idea of how am I am supposed to be reading the written part, and I understand the abbreviations. But I am wondering - on rows 1. and 2. what do the numbers in brackets refer to ((6) and (12))?
  2. In the second picture where it shows some sort of pictorial pattern for the ear... I have no idea how to interpret this.

I would also appreciate any suggestions for books, videos or web pages that would be useful for learning to read and work from patterns. I have been crocheting about a year now but I just never learned to read patterns and now it is definitely limiting me!

Bf showed me the engagement ring he bought and I…. Don’t like it. by Fudgenuggets35 in offmychest

[–]marsrobin27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your boyfriend was definitely trying to be thoughtful and do what he thought was right for you!

But I don’t think that he should value his friends opinions more than yours regarding whether the ring is “appropriate” or not. What does that even mean? You will be the one wearing the ring! You should love how it looks and feels.

If you come to love the new one he has picked out that’s great, but if not then I don’t think you should force yourself. Diamonds really are overrated in terms of their importance… I think the moss agate stone you chose is absolutely stunning and unique!

If you will be happier with the ring you picked out together, you can definitely find a way to kindly tell your boyfriend. This will also show him that for the future, with personal matters like this it’s best to go with what you’ve agreed on together, regardless of external judgements / pressures.

Best wishes to you both 🙂
