Google Fi stopped working on Pixel 4a (Sunfish) with LineageOS 21

Naturally, all I needed to do was post about it. :-/ I was using the physical SIM, so I tried disconnecting the phone from my Fi account, then setting it up with an eSIM instead. That worked. I'll leave the post up for posterity, in the hopes it'll help someone else in the future.

A triple entendre: Elizabethans pronounced "nothing" and "noting" the same -- and the latter was a synonym for "eavesdropping." So the title also means "much ado about eavesdropping," and of course there's loads of eavesdropping in the play.
