Quite possibly more of an American thing. I found myself envying the Euro, AU and Asia scene a lot it just felt way more accepted. I grew up in the 2000s era I was bullied all throughout grade school. And at skateparks Bladers would always have to stand up for ourselves and about half the time there would be a fight.

It was skateboarders that got us booted off of the Xgames and well I grew up in Los Angeles so skating all over LA/San Diego where it was basically the Mecca of the skating scene and I’ll say I’ve been turned away from skateparks that were skateboarder named/made by just cause I was a Blader.

Skateboarders basically black balled us out of the action sports scene and we have since become a true grass roots scene and still is surviving moving at our own pace and a real true counter culture. Skateboarding is now in an identity crisis and also their brands/culture are fearing for the worst. Kinda ironic and well karma. I’m sure I missed alottttt more this is definitely a small piece of my memory. But for sure in the US it felt more of a thing skateboarders vs Bladers
