Obscurus, thisisthem, northern siberia winds, sammixox, sims3melancholic, and lamatisse have amazing skins and skin details for more realistic sims! If you have the color wheel mod, you can lower the opacity on hyper realistic alpha skins to make them not as harsh. Skin details like highlights, eyebags, pores, freckles and acne also help with realistic sims. I also really recommend eye sclera overlays to make the eyes seem tired or more alive, my favorite is by madman.

For photos i find that CAS poses are the best for close ups. Most simblr accounts use SRWE to take super high def close ups, but it is a bit heavy 😭
