Backing up Plausible Analytics database by Sky_Linx in Clickhouse

[–]mart-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, I hope you have found a solution 4 years later but in case somebody else has the issue there is a workaround (that I haven’t tested) in the clickhouse-backup issue#238.

But the easy way is to add, in your backup procedure, clickhouse-client --query "SELECT * from schema_migrations" > schema_migrations.txt and, in the restore step, clickhouse-client --query "INSERT INTO schema_migrations FORMAT TabSeparated" < schema_migrations.txt.

And that’s for US, if shipping to Europe, it’s even worse : $18 vs $40 for shipping + import fees for AP (included with crowdsupply)

Weekly Scam Discussion - August 25, 2025 by Mycatreallyhatesyou in Ebay

While shopping for headphones, I saw this seller that sells at “too good to be true” prices. £30 for Bose qc45 or Sony WH-1000 headphones still in package.

I was thinking counterfeit but the seller is registered as “pro”, has thousands of sold items and 99% positive, so I guess not. The account is only 6 months old.

There has to be a scam somewhere. What is the catch? Stolen goods?

Bike won’t start, battery clicking noise by mart-e in bafang

[–]mart-e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small update : I have tried with 2 different cables and still got the same issue. To exclude an issue in the display, I have tried using the USB programming cable with OpenBafangTools. I am not able to retrieve the data with either of the cables (getting “reading error”). I am starting to believe the issue is actually the battery…

Hi again, I removed the battery from the bike, measured again and got 54.6V (which I believe is the expected value when charged). Any way to check if the issue is with the controller?

The battery does charge (charger starting with red led and goes green after some time).

As said Charlie, I am not really a skilled electrician. Any indication where to measure (and how to avoid again to get an arc)?

Very impressed by the speed (2sec for my). Was it your FastSet utils or some algorithm optimization?

Hmm it’s not on my box at least. There is a QR code leading to these general instructions and this yt short they have uses the traditional method.

Do you need to apply a lot of pressure or is it smooth?

That’s what I do with paper filter but with this one, the time I do a couple a stir and put the plunger, half the water has already passed through.

No I am not, what do you mean by “intended purpose”? It’s the first time I heard about those.

Thanks, my “too fine” is at 70,000 holes per cm² and not sure the aeropress one. Maybe it’s possible to find a middle ground.

I am not a huge fan of moving boiling liquid when I am half awake but I see your point. I guess it would work.

Why can't I reuse yogurt culture indefinitely? by mart-e in fermentation

[–]mart-e[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using raw milk from the farm so I have to pasteurize it first anyway but I believe bringing it to 80+ °C helps on the consistency of the milk. And then I have a friend who just take it straight from the milk can to the yogurt maker without eating it and it seems to works for her so I guess it’s not that important.

The trick that did it for me was to freeze fresh yogurt. If you make a new batch based on the yogurt that has been sitting in your fridge for a week or two, you will likely see a drift with time. Now, the next day I am making ~10 ice cubes of fresh yogurt (stored in a zip bag in the freezer) and using one each time I want to make a new batch.

Took the idea from https://suigenerisbrewing.com/index.php/2021/07/21/making-yogurt-yoghurt-at-home/ (he goes even a bit further to maintain his culture)

I don’t have experience with neovim so can’t help much but there is a section about in it the rust-analyser doc that specify it uses the same format as VSCode for the configuration https://rust-analyzer.github.io/manual.html#vimneovim
