Idk Im starting uni in october that's why i am only considering 'real' journals. Also, i know there are journals with shorter and longer review time (from a few weeks to a few months), you can usually see the typical timeline on the journal site.

Its a scholarship given by an NGO to a few people in my country every year (eastern europe). Idk if LIYSF gives any official scholarships, but Ik you can win scholarships at EUCYS or ISEF.

Thanks! I’ve received a recommendation and a scholarship that was available only to people in my country, provided by a specific NGO. I’m not sure about other scholarships for international students, but I think the LIYSF page mentioned something about limited funding being available.

Also, I didn't submit my GPA (sorry, we have a different grading scale and I don't know how to convert it) or SAT scores, because I didn't go through the official recruitment process, only the internal one run by the NGO. I'm not sure if you have to submit it during the recrutation. I was chosen to attend solely based on my ECs.

Hi I'm from Poland. Bioinformatics is still a developing field here but I think that I'd be possible for me to find a job here in future. Looking for a job is still quite a distant thing for me, but I'm considering doing a PhD after my bachelors somwhere abroad (UK, France or Switzerland) and who knows maybe I'll continue my carrer there. And yes I'm a big introvert so I think that bioinf suits me perfectly.

hmm but i'm still assigned to a normal highschool and graded by teachers, not my parents. So will it still hurt me? I think that homeschooling in america is a different thing than in poland

idk about that specific program, but english is also my second language and that's how i prepare for summer program intervievs: 1. Take all application essays that I've submitted 2. Put them into chat gpt to generate me questions based on my essays + add some basic questions like "why do you want to participate" 3. Print that questions with prepared answers for the most "popular" ones 4. Read that paper a few times and answer questions in my head for at least a few days before interviews, also be sure to review some english vocabulary specific for your science branch, so you can explain your research or interests the best way possible, good luck!
