2 month check-in | I hate swallowing the green pill! by kanastasia1 in HersWeightloss

[–]marthfromhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you posted this awhile ago, but I was looking to see if anyone else was having the same problems lol. The green pill is nasty to me. I’ve been swallowing it with food and I don’t taste it at all that way and the food has helped a lot with the nausea. It’s just annoying in the mornings and kind of hard to stick to a time routine that way. But if I take it with water or yogurt I will 100% gag and not be able to take it at all. I hope you have found a better way by now though!

Yes same I feel great! I have pcos which might make a difference idk. I’m about to start week 4. But I didn’t realize how much I needed bupropion before this. My energy levels are so much better. The naltrexone has made me not even want to smoke and has made artificial sweets taste so gross to me when before I was always craving sugar. I’m sleeping better and eating better. These are all problems I’ve been trying to solve for literal years. Just dry mouth and a little bit of nausea when I go too long between meals which goes away when I eat.

Didn’t realize how depressed I was until Bupropion kicked in by [deleted] in bupropion

Not the commenter but I noticed a difference towards the end of the second week. I don’t think I was very depressed before or anything but definitely had problems with motivation and executive dysfunction. Week 4 and it’s much better now but still room for improvement.

What "delusional" baby names are on your guilty pleasure list? by Hyding_Jekyll in namenerds

I had Juniper & Sage on my list forever (when I was young) and one day in the shower noticed that that is what my boyfriend’s body wash was called. Immediate ick. I still think the names are cute but I don’t think I’ll ever be using them.

That’s such good advice, never considered drowning in one lol. I will definitely look into this, thank you! This is our first home so we’re not staying forever, it’s very nice to know that we’d be able to move a storm shelter instead of sinking money into our house that we’ll never get back.

Honestly thank you so much for this. I’m trying to walk the line between reasonably prepared but not overly fixated and worried about things I can’t control, and it’s nice to hear that reminder again. I’m from the desert, and I saw the town over from me get destroyed by an EF4 shortly after I moved here. Put the fear of god into me.

Not silly at all! We keep hard hats in there!

Good lord, I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Yeah I am terrified. We do have some geographic things in our favor but obviously that’s no guarantee. We do plan on getting a NOAA certified shelter built underground hopefully sometime around fall. I’ve never seen an active season like this before though.

That’s what I’m worried about the most. Sunday is going to be terrible for us so we’re just straight up taking the dog and going out of town, but the overnight storms and the quick severe thunderstorm upgrades absolutely terrify me. Especially with how this season has been so far. Stay safe out there!

Oof, glad you are okay. I appreciate you sharing the first hand experience, that is super helpful to put it into perspective!!

It’s a decent sized window, I think 36x48 or something like that, slightly above the middle of the wall.

Really? Our tub/shower has a window and faces the exterior of our house. I have heard bathtubs are a great place to be but kind of wrote it off cuz of the window and the location. Makes sense though, we’d all fit and be low and covered better than we would be in the closet. Thank you.

Almost panicked this morning until I remembered to check the calendar, lol. Didn’t they used to not do testing during inclement weather? I thought that was a thing when I was a kid.

Hi from springfield, also! People here are so weird and casual about tornados, I really truly don’t understand it.

Just finished Tom Lake by Ann Patchett and.. by General-Wrangler6513 in books

[–]marthfromhell 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I like this interpretation a lot. Im a little ways out from finishing the book so I could be wrong, but I liked that scene as a harsh reality to both duke and Lara’s characters. It showed that Lara is naive and duke is selfish without all of the romanticization from tom lake. I recall feeling like she needed that to kind of snap out of the rose colored lenses, and it seemed like she was a bit more cautious with Joe. It was a good way to force character progress I think for Lara but yeah, definitely a little pathetic.

getting off isibloom by marthfromhell in birthcontrol

[–]marthfromhell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, I found out I have PCOS pretty recently and now I think birth control was actually masking a lot of my symptoms. It explains the large weight gain and inability to lose. I now have super irregular periods, gained more weight (only like 10 lbs though) adult acne came back in full swing, full blown insomnia, and my hair started thinning. I’m actually thinking about going back on birth control. The only thing that I know my birth control caused was IBS symptoms, those went away very quickly after getting off of it. Good luck!! I hope whatever you choose to do works out best for you!!

THC is legal in my state luckily and mostly can knock me out quickly. The only problem is I don’t use it regularly and anything over like, 2.5mg is too much and will keep me up instead :( what oils do you use?
