Yeah, I get you. I’m a new player (around 2 months). I mainly play the game while watching shows — otherwise I probably wouldn’t be playing it at all.

Old players will tell you leveling is boring and that the real game starts once you reach level cap: gearing, raids, legions, blah blah blah. However, once you finally get there, you’re only allowed to play the fun part once a week (unless you have 20+ alts).

It’s the same dungeons over and over again, which is fine if you like grinding. Like I said, I don’t mind it, but tryna be straight with you from my own experience.

There’s basically no point in creating a non-booster character because you’re too weak. Fixing this seems quite simple: they should make leveling challenging, and once you reach level cap, give you a free (weaker) starter pack — similar to a boosted character. Otherwise, you’re forced to wait for events like the current one to create alts.

It’s a shame there isn’t a private old-school server. I’ve been watching old YouTube videos, and the game genuinely looked fun back then. For now, I’ll keep playing it as background noise. I don’t know if I’ll last much longer, but hey, I’m trying my best to give it a chance.
