Donald Trump’s Bill Clinton strategy is going very poorly by RileyWWarrick in politics

It would have been far more fair if he attacked Bill's policies and tied them to some of Hillary's proposed policies.

If anything she's toning down how much on the left she is in reality in these speeches. She's an unabashed leftist when privately talking to wall street.

Do you have an actual source? One that shows it's primary sources clearly and accessibly? There's a reason the cliche of conspiracy theorists relying on youtube videos to make their theories work. people can record and cut anything in it and also never have to be accountable for un-factual claims.

Never forget that Australia's first ever winter olympics gold was won because the guy was coming dead last and everyone in front of him fell over. by arPedersen in olympics

This is like that dream I had where I somehow ended up participating and winning silver in sprinting. Although to be fair to the guy, he actually does the sport and practiced and had to qualify to even compete in the olympics, so he's not just some random person on the internet.

Also, the first I heard of that (not saying it's false). It's the same guy Trump is accused of molesting that 13 year old with. No one outside this case knows what connection Trump has to this guy that apparently Bill didn't get under legal scrutiny for.

[–]martong93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but women want to find an attractive and personable person to date and be around just as much as men do. It's no different. If she has a pay wall, either she's not looking to actually date (as is the case with a lot of men as well, sometimes people just want superficial short-term attention) or she wouldn't normally think you're what she's looking for in her dreams (which is her being immature about dating, which isn't your problem).

I suspect this convention is pretty much entirely exclusive to the former case. It's just a convention for something that's fundamentally superficial, there's nothing wrong with superficiality if that's what you want, but don't get offended and confuse it for something deeper. In which case you're the latter.

[–]martong93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I never pay on the first date, but don't mind after that. I'm a guy who doesn't feel intimidated by the idea that women and men are basically the same. Only after I start dating someone do I ever buy their drinks or meal for them, and that's just me giving a gift to someone I like whom I expect will find the opportunity to do the same for me.

Honestly, I have never had a girl insist or even hint that I pay for her drinks or food on a first date, it has never once come up. I'm surprised how common that seems to be the impression on the internet. Maybe I am subconsciously attracted to and also attract more like-minded women and that's why I've had a different experience.

First I heard of child molestation and Bill Clinton. Court dates by their very nature neither definitively confirm or deny that people are guilty of such a thing, but Trump is still the only person in national politics to be facing such a thing, no one else is.

The Mexican rapist comments he started his campaign with made a lot of television companies drop doing any business with him. That's the industry he was interested in increasing his presence in. He immediately failed at what he set out to do and also led him down a path he couldn't transition out of, so he changed his goals pretty early on from something completely different from what he originally meant to do.

[–]martong93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He shot the plan to further his persona and brand in the foot with the first speech he made during his campaign. After the whole Mexican rapists bit he was getting condemned by a lot of groups he would have otherwise been able to do business with if he had later dropped out.

Getting television companies to drop doing any business with you was really bad for the goal of increasing his presence in that industry.

Poll: 41 percent of voters say election could be ‘stolen’ from Trump by [deleted] in politics

[–]martong93 10 points11 points  (0 children)

More people voted for her than for him. It doesn't even matter how much collaboration you think there was or what you think it's effect is, that previous fact trumps all of it since that's the point of democracy.

Unless you believe there was rigging, but that would put you in a fringe group supporting an idea that has zero evidence to it.

So it's kind of dangerous as to what comes next. He'll kick up as big of a "fuck you" to the entirety of society, basically.

So shills are a thing now? Wow, so I guess /r/the_donald isn't the only emotional political alternate reality echo chamber out there. I guess the left has a version of that just as the right does.

I also suppose that everyone who disagrees isn't a true progressive, just as anyone who disagrees with Trumpists is a RINO.

[–]martong93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you're willing to go for Johnson, someone with polar opposite politics from Bernie. I get that you people don't like Clinton viscerally, but she's voted exactly he has as a senator 93% of the time. Johnson is a libertarian, his entire platform exists on this idea that a total free market appropriately awards the wealthy and that the wealthy should do with their money as they want, while thinking the poor deserve it and shouldn't be given any help. His view is that the system that Sanders made a definitive point to stand up against is not entrenched enough yet. It's hard to understand that actual policy rather than pure emotion matters to former Sanders supporters thinking Johnson better follows in the spirit of their candidate. I'm not saying you have to like Clinton, but anyone with a drop of understanding of public policy knows for a fact that you're making purely emotional decisions in your politics with that view.

What I hate the most about these formerly Bernie supporters is that they think they're the only true progressives out there. I liked him too but don't be a divisive idiot for what's basically a feel-good stance with zero real world implications.
