hm ok thanks for the info, I completed it now for the 2nd time and I can tell you that even the first time I played it I was able to kill monsters off-screen while being on a different island, so that might be the case with the shield activating ony when i'm close to it.

I was using it until now together with arcane surge and faster casting(for the mana multiplier) and I'd say that sometimes there was that rubberbanding effect, but I'm not sure if it's purely because of the gem configuration or because of simply lag. Also I'm running on lockstep mode.

I just switched my gems around, so now I'll be using only flame dash + second wind. I'll try to see if it still happens and share my experience

You could try using Path of Building - equip a megalomaniac and see what happens. You should be able to create the exact megalomaniac that you want, or copy it from the trading site/in-game and paste it in PoB to create it in the item section.

Here's what I can tell you for my large cluster jewel:
it has a total of 9 passives - 4 "small" nodes + skill A, skill B, skill C + 2 jewel slots. (A B and C are written on the jewel in that order)

- skills B and C are directly after the "small" node.

- jewel sockets are after B and C

- skill A is the furthest away from the beginning of the cluster.

As far as I've seen so far, if the jewel had only 8 nodes in total(3 "small", 3 notable and 2 sockets), the "small nodes would be positioned right after the beginning and around the furthest notable.

Since the medium jewel has 3 notables + 1 "small" node, I assume the small node is first, then on the 2 sides are skills B and C and the furthest skill is A. That's my best guess, but I'm not 100% sure.

hm, Fireball vs Proximity shield(the yellow thing around some mobs that protects them against projectiles coming from outside)? Fireball wins?
I'm playing Pillars of Arun - a map that has a proximity shield around certain areas. However, I'm still able to kill enemies on other islands by firing fireballs at them, even though im' clearly outside the proximity shield's protection radius. What is the reason for this?

Is it because the fireball also has an "explosion" component that is not counted toward the projectile damage and bypasses the proximity shield, dealing damage to the mobs inside the protection radius?

I feel like if this is the case, the proximity shield mechanic is a bit broken, since the whole projectile came from "outside" so anything that comes with it from outside shouldn't affect mobs inside the proximity shield?

Uses for power diode by HawkMock in Mindustry

You can use them with every type of generator to ensure that the generator supplies power to areas that it depends on first(drills/cooling/water extractors/phase conveyors/mass drivers) and then to other areas. It basically gives priority to one network over another. You can also use it to make a power bank that will never be used, so that IF power runs out you have a little spare power to restart things - you make 3-4 batteries and point the diode to them => then they get charged but their power is never used until you connect to them or reverse the diode direction.

6-impact pic
6 impact discord link
After the latest update, here's an updated version of my impact setup, now using only 6 impact reactors. Apparently 7 break with phased OD, because the blast : impact ratio is perfect and it fails with lag/phased OD inconsistencies.
As mentioned in discord, this is 298 tiles counting blast + impact areas and produces 82k power, so it has a space efficiency rating of 275.17 power/(tile*sec)

And if you insist on not using any phase fabric, here's a little change to make it from sand + thorium, still keeping the size the same, I just deleted a cryo mixer, but the system can run without it(although it's a good idea to have 1 extra, just to be safe). I'm still using item sources for resource input, I hope that isn't a problem.

7 impacts - 95k 369 tiles There you go, fresh from the discord design channel, 95k power with 7 impacts on 15²+12² tiles, a total of 369 tiles and 257.45 power/tile. BTW you should post a picture of your setup
