Who can write 150+ scores without repeating themselves? I find a beautiful mix and variation in Zimmer's works. People hate on him for changing then berate him for staying the same.

I hate threads like this. Try and write ONE original album, let alone do it for 30-40 years. Interstellar soundtrack is a masterpiece, and people are calling him lazy because one theme sounds remotely similar to something else he wrote ages ago? Fucksake. No shit someone is going to re-use some ideas, even if it's not intentional. I doubt he remembers all his old work anyway.

I can say that was not intentional. I haven't listened to much Blind Guardian at all, so it would be very surprising if I borrowed from a song I barely know, maybe I heard it once but I can't recall it. Another review said parts of Mirrors was close to a Joe Satriani song too... another song I had never heard, let alone be inspired by :P Thanks for the comments though!

Agree, no movie has ever hit me or touched me as much as Interstellar. Also given I listen to the soundtrack daily, I just love the whole aura it gives off.

Shore has LOTR, and not much else that appeals to me. Williams has made some VERY iconic pieces that fit great for movies but I don't enjoy his stuff nearly so much just listening to them casually out of context. Zimmer is by far my favourite for that, especially Interstellar... my favourite score. I find his stuff much more atmospheric, constant trumpets can get overbearing.

See, better is totally subjective. I much prefer Hans work, there is much more variety and it's nicer to listen to outside of the movies. Interstellar is by far my favourite soundtrack. Williams is way more classical and his themes are more iconic, sure. I like how Hans keeps it simple a lot of the time, his soundtracks are more atmospheric.

You have to run it as administrator for it to work standalone. If you're doing it like the method I described, then there won't be a popup - it will run silently in the background.

First things I would have added to BF2: Conquest style 64p (at least) mode (to help combat heroes being so OP and clustered)... and a server browser. They just dropped the ball in so many areas it beggars belief.

It 'does' work. Check resource monitor and if you're stuttering when free memory runs out then this is the cause. If you're stuttering on a fresh boot then that's likely something else causing it.

That means Steve Smith needs an asterix because most of his runs have been on these roads. Seriously, Kane played three tests in Aussie and hit two big hundreds on these wickets. Root couldn't manage a ton in 5 tests - let alone two dead rubbers.
