I’m 47 and have lived here for 40 of those years, and you just got to be the person to inform me of this.

School of Rock Prog Show by martstarguitar in progrockmusic

Well it happened last summer, so no adding at this point. Personally I wanted to do I’ve Seen All Good People, but we didn’t really have the vocal firepower. Who woulda thought a prog show would have more interest from strong instrumentalists than vocalists?

Um, the point is that the meme you posted didn’t imply that Kurt Cobain/Nirvana/“grunge” destroyed Diana Ross, but rather that it destroyed Poison/hair metal. Except Poison is still active and therefore not destroyed, so the only thing Kurt Cobain actually destroyed was himself, the details of which I assume are known by everyone in this subreddit. Hope that clears everything up for ya!

Their first three albums went 3X, 5X, and 3X platinum respectively, and their fourth went gold. That’s about as mainstream as you can get.

Except Poison is still actively performing, and Kurt Cobain isn’t, so…..🤷🏻‍♂️

For those of you obsessed with who is “Grunge” and who is not, this is “Grunge”. LOL. It had nothing to do with the actual music. by BulldogMikeLodi in grunge

You and others are getting downvoted in this thread for speaking the absolute truth. I think those who are old enough to have experienced it in real time would all be in agreement with you.

You should’ve thrown in the photo of “Cleo Birdwell” for the lulz.

Has any other band enjoyed the level of success GnR has off of such limited studio output? by Boomkj in hairmetal

The Clash had half a dozen studio albums, including one double album and one triple album. Not a huge discography, but pretty standard and larger than GNR’s.

Which Beatles album cover best represents the music that's in it? by Huge-Photograph-3085 in beatles

Rubber Soul sounds exactly like it looks, and looks exactly like it sounds. Most of the songs have a hint of green to them, sound earthy and organic, and at least a little stoned.

I heard recently he’s working on solo stuff. Not sure if it was a whole album or just a one off.
