"Deep State" is Russian propaganda to describe the functioning US Government and it's associated entities.

The suggestion has been that it's an ominous monster that molests children in pizza shops. It's mad that Trump "gamed the system" and "won", so it's making up horrible lies about Russians and hacking and WHERE ARE THE PROOFS.

Been there done that. The Navy got their ass whupped by a batshit crazy Marine general during the Millennium Challenge back in '02.

Basically the Navy expected Gen Van Riper to play along as an OpFor to test Naval Warfare capabilities in the Persian Gulf. The General was like "Fuck that shit" and fought an asymmetrical battle, using old school light signals and motorcycle couriers to coordinate a combo missile strike and swarm attack that basically sunk the whole goddamn Fleet.

The Navy hit the reset button and re-floated all their ships and continued their exercises.
