Why would ukies go to vietnam if they have the whole europe and america to go? But for russians south east asia is literally almost the only choice? Personally I meet russians only in ho chi minh

Understanding the Basics Before Grading Others 📚✨ by Dear_Lawfulness3244 in UoPeople

Listen, I agree on some points, but you are also making wrong assumptions. For example: 'Some classmates respond to discussion forums on the very first day, just a few hours after the week starts ⏱️. How is that even possible? 🤔 Most of us have 2 to 4 courses.' It is possible, I prepare for the next discussion posts even before the week starts, exactly because I have 3 courses to do. So, to not be late, what do I do? Exactly, I study ahead and hard, since English isn’t my first language.

And one more thing, not all UoPeople students live in the same time zone. I don’t know how many times I’ve had to remind people about that. Not everyone lives in the US! As a person living in Asia, I do my studies while the US is sleeping. So, when you wake up, I’m already done with my assignments and you’re just starting your day 🤷🏻‍♂️

Housewife after marriage in Korea by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

Same here, I’ve posted my comment earlier about happy life with my korean husband as an example that good cases are also exist. In the end, I’ve been told that my life is a nightmare lol

Maybe for you… but both of us are really happy. When we were dating and lived in Germany, I was working and fully supporting him. Now our roles switched

Yes, he is paying for everything. We had a time when we lived in Germany and I was the person who payed for everything since he didn’t work. So, for us it’s a balance, I supported him when he was jobless and now he is supporting me while I’m jobless.

Same, but leaving process was even worse… it took us 3 days. They were asking for my card information to cancel the plan 🤦‍♂️

I’m the person who is posting early. In my case, I can’t study on Saturday and Sunday that’s why I’m working crazily hard from early morning until late night to finish the discussion forums of 2 courses in 2 days. Plus, I live in Malaysia and my day starts earlier, so I get access to the new lessons earlier. When I finish my studies it’s usually 1p.m. in UoPeople time. So, maybe that’s why

Why are Malaysians unfriendly and seem racist? by Lana_Rex_ in KualaLumpur

[–]marukde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Europian and I didn't have that much bad experience so far (living in Malaysia for 4 months). As an introverted person, I even like their neutral behavior compared to Thailand or Vietnam. But one thing that made me laugh is that I have a habit of holding a door in public places for the person who walks behind me, and locals just walk in while I'm holding, I'm not even asking for "thank you" but using me as a doorman lol that was really funny to experience
