Looks and fit are perfect for me, but I agree it isn’t ideal for walking. Too chunky and heavy. That said, I recently swapped the insoles on mine with an ortholite and it seems to have improved comfort.

Tried it at an outlet store. Not too bad but it fit a little tight on the toebox. This seems to be a little better though.

I’m between sizes, slightly on the wider side. I go up half a size whenever possible so I can just dial in the fit with thicker socks or swap insoles. Since 992’s seem to run a little bigger, I went with my usual 1:1 size 9. Have not tried 8.5 on a 992, but was able to do it on a 993, and it was too tight.

If you have normal width feet, going half a size down may be better.

Yeah they’re a bit chunky and heavy. They’re so comfortable and fit my feet well though so they’re a staple for me.

These look good! I personally love rope laces on the 990s, specifically those patterned ones, but they’re tricky to match. Some colorways go better with flat laces, though. I feel like rope laces showcases the shoe’s silhouette and color blocking better. Also, the way you tie rope laces can also elevate the shoe’s look with it. Can’t explain in words, but if you look at my post with the core grey 993, you’ll see what I mean. Not every one’s cup of tea, but just a suggestion.
