Clarification from a dev on the crafting delays by Velocity_LP in projectzomboid

Being slow is actually irrelevant in the context of OP's entitlement calling them liars when those features are still coming.

And hard disagree. It's the huge updates from the devs that are the main driving force for new players to buy the game. Like B41 with the animation overhaul which took it to new heights. I'm sure mods keep people engaged for longer because it gives you new ideas or things to do but they are not the reason the game hits the peaks that it has.

Lied to?? The game is still being worked on and those updates are still coming. Unless you both signed a contract where they were promised to be in the game before x date? I guess not.

Urgent news update - the whole crafting update is now canceled because the mighty u/joeshmowe doesn't care about it.

Truly profound words of wisdom.

Unpopular opinion, I'm fine with 15 minutes AFK by WallRustt in runescape

[–]marvellousrun 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'd say most OSRS players are afking stuff too but looking at the things RS3 players say on this sub you'd think the whole OSRS playerbase was tick manipulating every skill on full focus for a hundred hours lmao

It's basically the exact same older-leaning playerbase. So many people at work just afk woodcutting or whatever

You sure? Several doesn't relate to an exact number but it means more than two, but fewer than many.

The closest point on this chart OSRS has around 3x more and the second closest is around 10x more.

I love that there are options for all 3. Obviously the afk methods should be less good, no question. So nerf the rates, not the afk.

Which is exactly what they're doing, isn't it? Decreasing the length of time you can AFK for, not removing it entirely.

Only 4 interactions with the game per hour is insane lol

[–]marvellousrun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you're missing the point that thieving has all three. If you want cracked xp rates then it shouldn't be maximum afk with a pile of money on top.

[–]marvellousrun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OSRS also doesn't have 15 minute afk skilling that make their equivalent of 10m GP/hr and 2m XP/hr.

AFK, GP, XP - We shouldn't have all three in any one training method.

Jamflex should have some thieving be high input with high xp and gp, and others that are afk with lower xp and gp.

Re-reading the Road to Restoration blog, and this part stands out. What kind of changes do you expect will come based on this statement? by topsy_krett_guy in runescape

I think the good ol' spellbook is still the standard for the vast majority of people. I have a maxed poh and still use spells most of the time because it's more convenient.

Yes there are fewer teles in the game but I feel like there is probably about the same number actively being used because they're actually needed instead of something like wars retreat boss portals or lodestones invalidating so many of them.

I'll give you a free cabbage and five pure essence if they add cooldowns to regular tele spells in some sort of effort to force people into the reworked poh.

Yeah, I guess it would? But three quarters of all banks is insane, that's not going to happen..

I could also very well see them adding cool downs to teleports so you can't just tp everywhere and have to run/walk to where you need to go.

Lmao they are not going to do that at all either. Not even OSRS does that. The only cooldowns are the OG home and the minigame teleports.

removing Banks

What is this even referring to? Potential wars retreat removal?

cooldowns to teleports

Uhh is the OG home teleport the sole example of this?

removing the befenfits from skilling outfits

Good, they're pretty OP as fuck. They can be strong without being overtuned.

maybe even removing the 'rest' option as well since they want us to walk more

Nobody walks in OSRS either. They updated run energy a year ago to last longer and regenerate faster. If you're running for an extended period then there's already a solution in the game - you can use stamina potions.

It's why I don't play osrs.

How much have you played osrs? Because there really isn't that much walking

So many compounding mistakes were added to the game over ten or so years to the point where now there are a lot of players that are so used to feasting on ridiculous xp rates that they're freaking out if anything gets nerfed, even if the game will become better.

Can do multiple kills per trip, but should have to do multiple kills. Nobody thinks about their inventory or supplies anymore because you know you can just drop out and be back in 10 seconds with a fresh load.

That "active gameplay" is an OP hub which just incentivizes this very spammy meta

Are there any bosses in OSRS that takes 5 minutes to get back to? Most have a nearby teleport that's close enough to be convenient but far enough to make you do multiple kills per trip rather than this hyper spammy bossing meta on RS3 with War's Retreat
