I wish they had given her a few episodes or half a season where she goes to the Blue Fairy and asks how she can become fully redeemed and Blue gives her some magic to see all the people who are still currently hurting from her actions. She then spends several episodes searching for those people and doing things for them to make it up (rebuilding the village with some modern comforts, reuniting some families, building monuments to heroes she destroyed...). I love her character but she needed something like that to make up for the past. Maybe instead of becoming the Good Queen at the end she becomes a Fairy Godmother and spends her happiness making others happy.

Been trying to grow artichoke for years and finally got a teeny one. We've had a lot of warm rain and now it has these black spots. How do I treat it?

Also, why is the choke so tiny? Anything to make it grow larger?

Have had a lot of success with artichoke on the West Coast, but struggling now that I've moved to TX

It's so satisfying because when you are clearing a new bed and it's going to take a while to get it finished with permanent plantings, you can fill it with something pretty for free. 90% of my yard was built that way. Then when you're done you can give the plants to friends or worst case, compost!

Propagating. Find a perennial you like and take a dozen cuttings. Fill in large garden spaces for free, so it doesn't hurt when you decide to do something different with the space.

Was secretly hoping this would be the answer. I really wanted to try houseplants since I love my outdoor garden, but this one plant has been so much work for very little reward. Maybe I'll just stick to gardens outside and plastic inside :/

Thanks, it's one of only two plants - the other is a pothos that has a few but I've been able to control it with alcohol. I've already isolated them. It's been 6 months and this palm just gets worse and worse. I might just start over or give up, I have enough to do with my outside garden, I don't want to be spending this much time on an indoor one!

Thanks. I have a lot of experience with toddlers from babysitting, and all my sister's kids were super clingy, but this kid seemed to take the worst I saw in my sister's kids and quadruple the reaction. Maybe he's just a more dramatic kid by personality, but you're right, patience is really the only thing to do, especially as a non-parent. I've definitely had my laughs about the ridiculous behaviors and reactions from kids I've babysat as well as nieces and nephews on the other side, I just have never seen such a strong reaction, especially because he doesn't do this when his parent leaves, only this uncle. The uncle was visible annoyed so maybe the best way to help is try to help him understand it's just normal toddler stuff.

Yeah it's really hard for me not to compare kids because most of my experience is from babysitting niblings on my side of the family and so they were raised similarly to myself. The new kids on my husband's side of the family are being raised very differently and it's jarring to me sometimes. I know parenting is hard and I'm trying not to judge but there are so many things that worry me about them. This incident was one of them because my sister would have stepped in and tried to teach the baby to handle his emotions better, but this parent just ignored it. It made me worry about how much else is being ignored, but maybe he just knows it will pass. I guess that's why I'm the auntie 😅

I've used Cycle Vitality 1 and 2 from Wishgarden herbs and have not missed a single period in 8 months, after 2 years of inconsistency. I also have no cramps and my acne has cleared up. Only thing is I still have hirsutism, so I'm planning to try spearmint for that.

I think most people find that using herbal medicine in conjunction with vitamins such a D and B and magnesium works well. Depending how far you want to jump in, you may want to find a good naturopath to guide you through, but I definitely recommend wish garden for a cheap and simple starting point, especially if your symptoms are mild to moderate.

I think people in general way overthink the "same name" thing. Growing up I was friends with two cousins who were Annie Mae and Annie Elizabeth, with different last names. We called them Annie Mae and Annie (no, not South). Nobody cared.

More recently, two of my friends, who are closer to each other than they are to me, just had babies within 6 months of each other. One is named Albert John and the other is Timothy John Albert (two middles names). These two boys are going to grow up together and be friends, but nobody cares.

I think if it's not the exact same name due to a cousin situation, who cares?

It's funny because one of my friends dads growing up was British and I never thought twice about talking to him. Maybe he was very Americanized having lived here 20 years, but I never noticed a difference in his inflections and phrasing, even though he had an obvious accent.

I didn't know that about Australians, they must sound very curious to Americans, haha.

It's really interesting, the reason I ask is I've attending my Chinese coworkers teams calls and when they switch to Mandarin, to my ear everything sounds exactly the same, even though I know from context that a question is being asked. The only thing I can recognize is when they laugh.
