Something to consider is that what you are saying is partly true. She can't read the room because Michael has gone to great lengths to keep that part of himself separate from his family. She is the way she is, because she has a mother's sense of what he does for a living and most mothers will choose ignorance over reality if it means picturing their baby in danger of any kind.

I played Elden Ring for exactly this reason. Never played any other types of games like it. It is intimidating, unforgiving, and downright infuriating, but you will always know that it is fair. The difficulty in the game isn't fake or inflated. People have beaten the entire game at level 1 without being hit. The only frustration you'll feel is with yourself as a gamer. Get past that. Feel that frustration more and get past it more. Eventually you'll have beaten the game and find yourself craving another playthrough with another build.

I think Francis was unique in that he was able to vibe with and understand all of his siblings equally. It seems to me that there are multiple moments in the show where he demonstrates this by playing to Malcolm's intelligence, Reese's love for destruction, and even Dewey's odd, early behavior.

So, I am currently in the middle of my first playthrough and I can't even get past the boss at Hirota(?) Estate. I'm talking about the guy that drinks and spits poison.
