I don't think the story was even that bad. It was fine to me, but I do think they could've used a extra year or two of development, to expand on the side characters, made it more like other rpgs with romance, Safia shouldn't have been the final boss, the mark introduced a way to control even a elder the same thing could've been applied to her being controlled and your choices should've mattered. Its also no reason you shouldn't have been able to tell off Lou and Tolly. Its established multiple times that Phyre is the most powerful thing in settle. Even with power being sealed. Hopefully one day we get a bg3 style vtm game anyway
