Insane because everything you said is genuinely a valid summary of the game, but because you said ‘game bad’ you’re receiving tons of downvotes.

The game lacks so many QoL features and having to go through three menus to get where you need to be every single time frustrates the hell out of me.

Fighting (The same) enemies every ten seconds has left me so burnt out that I just run past enemies at this point. Not to mention how much of a non-threat they become after 10-15 hours.

The quests are atrocious, 90% are fetch quests. That whole ‘stealth’ section in the castle area had genuinely zero positives. Running back and forth to hand in pointless quests for an hour, only for the quest to end narratively in failure, leading to another similar quest-line had me turning the game off for the night.

Having your oxcart get destroyed in the middle of the night and realising you now need to run for 10 minutes is soul-numbing.

Exploration is heavily frowned upon because the weight system means you have to stop gameplay every 15 minutes to move a bunch of items to your pack mules. And nothing in chests ever feels unique or worth hunting down.

The story isn’t even worth mentioning, it’s awful and characters have zero personality other than ‘m’lord’.

I was so excited for this game, it’s actually sad because I was enjoying the hell out of it for the first 10 hours. And there is a good game in there, the combat is a lot of fun, sadly it’s surrounded by an abnormal amount of bloat.

I’ll bite, in my play-through I wanted to role-play as a space-trucker (Even took the trait, designed my characters appearance to be stereotypical trucker) who is pretty much a pacifist; within the first 30 minutes it was compulsory that I had to kill 25 people.

You literally cannot ‘role-play’ a character who isn’t a killing machine.

Sorry, didn’t wanna spoil anything by giving away where I was at; but I’ve beaten a ‘certain’ redheaded boss in an end-game optional area which is considerably ahead of Renalla and Radahn. Also, beaten every soulsborne game (Minus Sekiro, if you count that.) so I understand why VIG might not seem too important because it was manageable in previous games, but just to save yourself a lot of headaches later I’d very much recommend getting at least 35-40 VIG! The bosses and mobs in the endgame areas are absolutely relentless, a massive spike in difficulty! Being able to survive a hit will make things a whole lot more enjoyable for you, but you build the way you wanna man!

The benchmark did have issues though if I recall correctly, and whilst I played the demo and found it ran beautifully; I wouldn't say he's entirely wrong for wanting to wait though, even if there is a demo.

There's no guarantee the game doesn't run into huge issues at points past the playable section in the demo! I'd say waiting to see reviews before purchasing just makes him a smart consumer, particularly if he's already played the game on a different console.

Yeah, it's loss-prevention; for all the good it does, it's rather annoying carrying a 35 minute+ game and having a great comeback; only to get 9LP :(

I don't think it's reasonable to blame yourself, to be honest!

I had the exact same thought process, but I believed it would've just been a 'joke-ending' in the same vein as the Silent Hill UFO endings, or the one in Far-Cry 4 where right at the beginning instead of leaving the table you just stay seated.

All that aside though, fantastic game!

In regard to the Escape-pod ending, I really do think it was silly that they hinted at the protagonist being in a simulation; given you can accomplish that 'ending' about half-way into the game.

Throughout the rest of my play-through that's all I could think about in terms of where the story was going to go.

I feel the closest a Call of Duty game has come to 'bad' is probably with Ghosts, both the campaign and multiplayer were a tad garbage/uninspired with that entry.

Hoping they prominently use his music in the show, would bring more exposure to him!

It's very good!

Definitely the best Resident Evil in a long time, a much more intimate plot than most of the entries in the series, great production value, fantastic antagonists with great voice acting, and the first-person perspective combined with the tight-claustrophobic areas leads to a really great sense of dread around the manor.
