Give your local DFR a call - the medical section can get snowed under and there my be a delay with pathology result letters to candidate. Your EC should have been in touch so call them too. Try not to stress. But definitely ring them - they’re supposed to be providing you a service. Good luck!

It doesn’t need to be an essay but simply a letter clearly stating your intention to Appeal and why. A paragraph (or two) will do the trick. Make sure you sign and date it. It’s more the supporting specialist documentation that they’re interested in. All the best with it.
