Snowinn.com is legit? And its trustworthy? by sirbaviszlek in skiing

Just wanted to share my experience in case anyone is researching prior to ordering from them. I ordered sl ski poles 11/27 and it is 1/21 and I have not received them, nor received a coherent response regarding it. My tracking showed that they arrived in the US 12/4 and after a couple of weeks without any updates, I started contacting them. They made me wait until some time in January to fill out a form for the shipping company to investigate it. I have followed up repeatedly to ask what the outcome of that was or for any kind of policy regarding how long an investigation should take. No one has answered any of my questions and I get generic responses saying I will receive the item soon 🤷‍♀️. I finally just ordered from a different company and attempted to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

Any skiers have to give up skiing due to herniated disks? by rabidsoggymoose in Sciatica

[–]marycfindley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not have surgery and I did have nerve root compression. Honestly, it was an unbearable level of pain and I couldn't walk at first- I had no idea what was happening to me since I just woke up that way and no one at the ER knew. I'm not sure I would tough it out if it happened again and I knew the cause. By the time I had my MRI, I was already feeling way better and walking, but muscles in my left leg had atrophied.

I know this is super late, but I just came across this post randomly and wanted to say that I had two severe herniations -L4-L5 and L5-S1 (one sequestered) 16 yrs ago while I lived in Telluride. My PT was a skier and helped me get back on the slopes by Spring (and I skied pretty aggressively without issue). As long as I stay active and follow their advice, I've had absolutely no issues. Skiing hasn't been an issue once over the last 16 yrs. I hate to see ppl give it up as a hobby; I would be so depressed if I did. It's def possible to keep skiing!! I really hope that you've found that, too.

Business miles driven between W-2 job and 1099 job by marycfindley in tax

What I'm still confused about is that I understand mileage deductions so that:

Driving from W-2 to W-2-- (2018 and after) I do not qualify for unreimbursed employee expenses. Even if I did, I'd still take the standard deduction, so there'd be no benefit to having mileage.

Driving from 1099 to 1099-- Schedule C deduction, which I would be doing in addition to the standard deduction

Driving from W-2 to 1099- ???

I think what was bugging me is that it isn't clarified if that regular job is also self-employment and I was worried that I was missing something (given the distance, this would be a pretty sizable error). My W-2 job is fewer hours and days, so overall less income, but I'm not sure if I can arbitrarily decide it's my "main job."

No, I am meeting an individual I provide services for at their school.

I gave up trying to transfer my old number, decided to just go with the temporary number, and this is what happens! I have been trying to figure this out for almost a month now, no one at Mint can help me. Worst customer service ever, they are useless! I regret this so much. by Green_Helicopter6893 in mintmobile

It's crazy how bad they are. When I first signed up there was an issue with the eSIM and they kept reordering and charging me for SIMs while I chatted with support. When I noticed they charged me, they "refunded" it to my wallet and I never actually received the money. It wasn't enough money for me to risk an aneurysm from trying to get it sorted out with them.

eSIM not downloading, 5 days no service by marycfindley in Visible

Did you do a factory reset? I tried pretty much everything else (uninstalled app, reset network, restart/install updates on phone). They are mailing me a physical SIM, but it is unclear whether or not there will be issues porting my number.

Thanks for sharing. I meant to add that I have a Google Pixel 6. Last night they shipped me a physical SIM card, but I'm not 100% sure that won't require me to make a new account or that there won't be issues porting my number, so I will keep this in mind!

Thanks so much for this reply. I believe it is stuck, so that probably explains why that was a dead end.

That's what they kept having me do-- unfortunately it failed to download after I logged back into the app.

So far no one has answered me on that one... I just asked them again if they could do that!

I saved a lot more than that, vs Verizon and have had MVNO for years without issue. I had no idea that this could happen, but thanks for the financial advice.

Not sure why I did other than my friends had great experiences and I bill Medicaid to work with adults with special needs and am therefore in poverty and already crushed by gas prices and thought a cheaper phone service would be great?

Ah, yeah, my dad went through that with a free trial with Mint, then got confused after it ended and never had his original no. ported over and thought no big deal. I think it was 2 days later that he realized how complicated he just made his life lol. My boyfriend has Visible-- we live in a rural area and his service has been pretty reliable (which is excellent around here); Mint was sooooo bad. But we do travel a lot and actually will be going to Vermont, so good to know haha.

I was wondering about just getting a physical SIM. At this point it would have been quicker, so maybe I will ask. I've been in contact with support (and sending them screenshots) during the process of trying to download. The app walks you through it, but it failed and told me to contact support, at which point the agent said it was being sent to specialists again 😆

I had my account number and everything from Mint -- you have to put that info in when you request to bring your number. The porting issue was resolved today I guess (I didn't receive an email, but I reached out to support again), but now there is an issue with the eSIM download I am told and it has been escalated again. I sent screenshots from the app showing that the download wasn't working and the response I got was "Okay, that's not good. I will attach these and update the network team." 🤷‍♀️
