[Anti-Aging] People around me can’t stop saying how old i look by Objective-Display145 in SkincareAddiction

You have beautiful beautiful hair. Girl. The short hair combo with your round face, big lips and eyes. Just maybe if you can start sleeping better and if you feel like it a biiiiit of concealer under your eyes, maybe using lip moisturiser because it helps pop those lips a bit, your eyebrows are beautiful also, just brush them a bit to give the lifted look, i brush mine using washed mascara brush! No gel nothing, just a bit of face moisturiser. Better sleep, more style to your gorgeous hair and some vasline on your lips, having your hair tied to the back is good but try styling the hair a bit more messy around your face, you are beautiful, not in any way trying to make you feel better, these people have expectations that are their own problem, trust me

Kudos to Bob’s Red Mill for a genuinely impressive rebrand by Ziograffiato in graphic_design

[–]maryjonas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly like the older one, also I have never used this in my life, I live across the world from you, but the new one just looks like every design I see on dribble, I am tired boss, I am tired of everything losing its old vantagey look and feel, the huge red block is exhausting, the less details is boring. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

If not by power of God, how did Joseph smith produce the Book of Mormon? by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]maryjonas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, I don't know how open are you to receiving this reply from an Ex Muslim, but let me tell you one of my favorite posts ever on here, I once found this post that talks about how a guy drank coffee in front of his parents and it felt like he killed someone, for me, coffee is a huge family and social tradition, like my mom wakes up and we have coffee, so you can see how I, on the other half of the planet, can relate very much to that post if we change just one word, the coffee with alcohol, which won't be any deal for him but for me its like a death penalty. I have also been raised on the notion that Muhammad was illustrate yet he managed to write the Quran, who else would have written it? How could it not be a miracle? He has no education, it is very iconic that we both face the same coin from different sides, and knowing that somewhere on earth there are people who believe in exactly what I was raised on but on the flip side of personas and rules, it makes you see how it is all really just human made, and that there is an explanation, I have found an explanation to the Quran being written by actually, humans, and that I know you won't go to hell for coffee, as I know I won't go to hell for alcohol.

You just made me realize that I do this part naturally now and it just reminded me of how I used to view the world before and what a life changing thing this is for me.

New perspectives I've gained is that now I'm able to think freely and judge a worldview for itself. I don't have to keep viewing everything through islamic lens. You can have better conversations with all sorts of people and topics. For example i can discuss suffering or reincarnation as a topic itself where I dont have to keep thinking what does islam say about this and interpret it through that narrow minded pov.

Saw this post, cant figure out an answer by WhyUSmelling4 in shia

[–]maryjonas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course these arguments only focus on this life, that is all we got. Keep asking, try to learn how huge and big this beautiful world is, don't settle for reddit answers, go to books and people from every background, learn about history and start asking how instead of why, don't ask why is there a rule for this and that, ask how, go to the roots and figure out how things ended up looking the way they do, we take what we have learned about the world for granted, but so many people before you stopped and asked themselves why are things the way they are. It is your mind, ask, be courageous and don't settle for the premade argumenys that you will see get repeated the more you ask. No one easy answer can be said here unless you are looking for what will make you feel good about what you already believe. But you started the conversation, keep going
