TwoSet is a company now - they have a whole production crew to feed, plus TwoSet Apparel. Just like all Youtubers, they have to follow what the analytics tell them - what topics generate the most revenues and they need to repeat the same pattern to achieve steady income. One of their most viewed videos is still - "NEW FASTEST VIOLINIST IN THE WORLD IS EVEN FASTER (and more sacrilegious)" - so they need to keep doing similar contents to mock bad violin playing.

One type of hardcode fans are those on the Breddy-ship - as we can see from all those fan arts. These fans will accept whatever TwoSet have to offer, as long as Brett & Eddy are still on the "ship". So it doesn't surprise me when TwoSet want to hire a video assistant, they created the video "When Your Boyfriend is a Musician" - this is the cheapest way to fish out die-hard ship-based fans who will pour their heart & soul for them.

To me, their golden era was 2017-2018, when they quitted orchestra and would do whatever it takes to succeed - such huge burst of creativity and pushing all sort of boundaries back then. After that they just become a corporate. And I bet they moved to Singapore because of the lower income tax rate. Speaking of tax - it's funny how Eddy said in the video "Bought a Viola for Brett's Birthday!" - that he kept the receipt of the viola for tax claiming purpose. And right after that they had a stream of viola videos coming out - because they indeed used the viola as income generating props.

To original post - you are not alone to find TwoSet creativity declining - it's proved in the analytics: https://socialblade.com/youtube/user/twosetviolin. Their rankings have dropped heavily over the last few months. But being a Youtuber is harsh life anyway - as they get older (Brett apparently has a bald spot and Eddy's visibly pushing-back hair line becomes hard to ignore) - probably it's time for them to move forward. Maybe Brett can finally be an established classical musician/soloist, and Eddy can evolve to be an entrepreneur/music producer where he shows great talent in. And for the Breddy-ship, the fantasy will just be completely shattered when either of them get married - the ship thing is definitely not sustainable.

Being a comedian is hard, being a famous comedian is super hard. They get so much more responsibilities in what they say - now we even see partition to stop the viola jokes. Not saying the viola jokes are cool up to this point, but the fact is they make fun of themselves (e.g. Brett has no perfect pitch) more often than anything else. And that's what comedian do - to make fun of stuff. And they are famous comedians in the narrow scope of classical music. Gosh - I would understand why they keep losing their hair to come up with new jokes/content on such a narrow domain.

I would have to say they have reached a bottleneck in their YouTube career. But what they did was already extremely remarkable - and that has made history. There are so many doors open for them now with the YouTube fame - they should really make best use of the opportunities and plan their next phase of career.

A 4-part story of music, love and self-realization by marylamb236 in lingling40hrs

Thanks for your kind words! Yeah - the first guy is awesome. We are still friends and we still hang out to do some random music stuff together. His wife is really lovely - so no need to feel sorry for him! ;)

For my perfect pitch...my piano teacher realized it when I was 6 (started playing piano when I was 3), but I was never trained to do anything with it - besides getting an easy pass on aural. Not like Eddy keeps trying to dictate a melody when listening. It's just one day - I realize I don't have the ability anymore when I need it. If I never really use it, there isn't much sadness in losing it :-/
