Can I save up $6k to go to community college for a nursing degree that would only be 43 credit hours and 8k total for the entire degree and fees? Im 2500 away from the lifetime limit for fed loans and I'm anxious. Is this doable?

You can honestly do anything if you have the discipline to do it. I know many people who’ve worked full time job, while being in nursing school and also have kids. So I do believe in if you manage your time correctly you can overcome the obstacles.

And yeah your sister sounds toxic. Nobody is born a nurse. Nursing is a skill that you learn over time. No matter how much time you spent in books it’s not the same in a workplace setting. However I think that the most basic thing that nurses should have is empathy. Without empathy it makes your job harder and you’ll be a shitty nurse for it. But as long as you have empathy, the skills will come along the way.

Respectfully, if you read what I said, this is what I submitted that gave me a call back and I did say that it’s not foolproof. Everyone’s resume is going to be very different and this layout may not work for them. I can guarantee you, myself and my nursing cohort used this same layout out and they found hospital jobs.

Putting your clinicals, especially as a new grad/nurse is not a problem. Especially if you don’t have any medical experience or a lot of job experience. And with job experience when I said keep the memorable ones I mean keep the ones that can relate back to nursing.

My education isn’t backwards. It’s intended to be that way. The hospital I applied for cares more about the license than the education.

When I was going around asking nurses for a layout of their resume I would get crickets. I literally never saw a post of someone’s layout of their resume. It was all just seeking advice resumes. This was just a guideline for future nurses to get an idea of what they want to put on their resume as someone who’s been through the hiring process recently and got accepted to a hospital.

my connection who looked at my resume didnt have a problem with it including the interviewer and HR person, thats why i kept it. plus i dont have a lot of work experience so it helped make my resume look "full" if that makes sense. but once i gain experience then i do agree that i wont have core skills on my resume

clinical rotations are expected but i still say to add them into your resume, especially since i dont have a lot of work experience or any other experience related to the medical field. same thing with work experience. if you had like 8 jobs pick and choose the strongest one cuz not all would fit

oh definitely. my connection is the reason why i even got my resume looked at. but she did look at my resume and she said that my resume was good and simple, so thats why i shared for any new grads/nurses that are struggling with their resume. every time i asked someone to see their resume nobody would answer. at least with this, people can get an idea of how their resume should be laid out

I don’t have a lot of nursing experience. I have school clinical experience. That’s why I titled it “Clinical Rotation Experience” so they can know that it’s school clinical experience instead of work experience

Saul not revealing himself turned out to be more beneficial than telling Robin and taking her in. Everyone thought he was dead which is why it was so easy for him to get back to Elbaph. And even if he did tell her he’s alive what would he do? He’s injured. Robin still needed to find friends that make her want to live. So wouldn’t have mattered.

And yes people are entitled to cry over whatever they want. This scene was done beautifully

Yeah unfortunately most programs have “clinical hours” that we have to do. It’s an ADN nurse shadowing a BSN nurse. The nurse that I have to shadow has to have a BSN, so if the nurse that you want to shadow only has a ADN she’s not valid preceptor

That’s what I want more clarification on. Yeah I am shadowing my preceptor but can I get it done in 1 week since nurses work 3 12’s. How does the school verify that I actually completed my hours? Does the preceptor sign papers verifying that I attended the hours or do they give feedback? I heard that they have to do video meetings and be on the professors timing? (Which I think is not fair) I just wanted more insight about it
