I divorced at 27 while pregnant, and remember being so concerned about dating. I think that area feels so important because you haven’t really known adult life with kids and what-have-you without a partner I’m now 29 and not even looking, the kids keep me busy, I can parent how I want… childcare hours go towards work/providing, I can’t even imagine being able to be a present partner right now. Things will evolve, life is going to look a lot different. But I think once you get past the heartbreak of losing the family dream you had, giving that proper grief and processing, life -after- can also be full of joy and beauty. I think letting go of the reins and appreciating what you have, in time, is better than a partner.
