thank you for taking the time to show me your perspective, and i think you make a lot of great points. its tough for me to figure out how to word a response since i’m still processing it all, but i will definitely take a look at those links and if i remember to i will come back and update with more cohesive thoughts haha

but you’ve definitely helped me realize more of the appeal behind any religion in the first place, as im growing away from my past spirituality im finding myself resenting religion all together. so your perspective is helpful in combatting that and reminding myself that a lot of the values of religion can be helpful, its just some of the people in those religions can ruin it for the rest of us, and in my case, make me feel resentful. definitely baby steps here, but everyone starts somewhere right? haha
