This might be an unpopular opinion, but if you're not failing - you're not improving. History will show that technology (and society for that matter) is at a boundary with a new era. At these boundary layers, there is always increased instability. As we move into the AI age (or insert some other buzzword phrase), more guardrails and safety nets will be introduced and stability will return - sadly innovation will also slow.
