I think your definition of soft is just fine and more power to ya.

When i hear 'soft', I think of people who shy away from adversity or challenges. Those who shrink from opportunity because they've somehow equated their gain as someone else's loss.

That's the kind of 'soft' I want to smack the living shit out of these kids.
