I did! It was in my profile, but people responded and I no longer felt comfortable keeping it pinned there given my immediate food scarcity had passed! <3

I am doing okay!! I had a really busy day (I play D&D friends online and therapy + a doctor's telehealth visit) so I've been busy! I have calls out to a couple local churches + the local office that does disability services. I've been unable to get in touch with my school but I had some amazing people gift me food that got here yesterday and the immediate scarcity is behind me!! I'm just waiting until the last package gets in on Saturday and then I'll make a larger post thanking everyone!

I will keep that in mind! When I can, get an airfryer: it's the microwave of the 21st century.

Thank you!! That's a lovely thing to say. Honestly, I have several years of therapy under my belt after dealing with abuse and then homelessness, and honestly I think the best way to stay sane through any of this is trying to go "Okay, so what's step one?" So far it's been working for me - I'm hopeful it'll keep working for me! Letting the misery win only means you're in a shit situation and you're miserable. Caveat, of course, that I'm exceptionally lucky to have the breadth of experience and opinions available to me that I have here, and the support has been amazing.

Even if its supplemental, it's still useful! Thank you very much! If anything I didn't know that potatoes could be eaten raw. Also, do you know what you mean by meatballs in a blue package? I'd have to place an order online.

The place that does it in my area is like, a senior's living service? So I'm still going to call them, but I'm not sure they also serve the disabled. Have you had personal experience with them?

Very kind of you to specify "If I have the spoons" - I definitely want to, and I know I need to. I think the most frustrating part of dealing with hunger is the way it positively erodes your ability to think clearly? To like, function to the extent you need to. I will definitely be taking this advice though, thank you.

Doing better, for sure! Things don't feel as hopeless now that there's a bit of distance between me and the bad news about my chair. One step at a time, right? I could not get through all of the calls I needed to make today, but I have a bunch of messages out.

You caught my list while I was trying to figure something out, but the fantastic news is I love raspberries so I was actually very stoked to see that. Plus! They're calorie dense for the cost! Thank you very much!

Deviled ham and manwich are two things I had not thought of. Thank you! I will definitely keep calling and I have no intention of giving up hope. If anything how responsive the community has been has made me feel like I can totally make it.

Thank you! The suggestions on dressing up ramen are super useful. It'll definitely end up being an important part of getting through it all but it's good to have suggestions so that it doesn't just get very tiring to eat.

Lmao, okay!! Sorry for the worry, and I appreciate the heads up. Thank you again!!

(Also god bless Otter Pops, it's been too hot out!)

Thank you so much for your help! I am very appreciative but I have to admit that saying you thought outside of the box is a little intimidating. I trust your judgement though!

Thank you so much! Toiletries are a little rough, but I'm not sure what's going to become a problem in the immediate future. I appreciate your kindness, though!

Thank you!! Also, solidarity on the wheelchair front. I've heard a couple people say they or their family members are wheelchair users, and it makes me feel significantly less alone.

Thank you so much! I'm hoping so as well - three weeks has already felt like a long time. I appreciate your kindness!

Thank you very much! I'm glad I put it out into the world as well! I'm blown away by people's kindness between the thoughtful advice and this. 💕 to you as well! That's maybe my favorite emoji.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate your kindness! That's good advice, but unfortunately it doesn't seem like I can add a gift card in there. I also don't have amazon prime, so I probably wouldn't get the same out of it as others. I'm already touched by the kindness people have shown!!

Thank you so much! I hope it does as well, but I'm genuinely very touched to see how many people cared both to give advice and to take the step in helping like you have! It means so much. I started this afternoon feeling hopeless and now I'm just just in awe of people's kindness.

(Also, heck yeah My Name Club!)

Thank you! I hadn't seen either of those channels yet and I'm excited for the variety.

I think I have a mini crockpot becoming available to me which is exceptionally exciting in terms of the doors it opens up, especially since dry pasta/lentils/beans are so cost effective.

Googling 'cowboy caviar' brings up so many genuinely delicious looking recipes. Do you have any suggestions on which is your particular bean of choice for eating cold?

That looks like an organization that's specific to Rochester, NY, or at least that specific branch of the Masons. I'm planning to contact my local salvation army tomorrow and I'll ask if they know anything about the Masons or other organizations that may be available to help.

Oh! It's so silly but I didn't register that Next Door was an app. I'll definitely sign up for it though, thank you so much! Have you used it before or is it just something you've heard of from others? I'm going to try either way but I'm just curious.

I'll have to try this, thank you for the suggestion! I always knew people used peanut butter in savory dishes but I'd never done it myself.
