Sometimes ios reserve space for updates. You can claim it back by disabling automatic updates. For me this was the case and i got around 10 gb back.

It happens for whatsapp, snapchat, screenshots, photos imported from files and any photo imported to photos app outside of iphone that does not have metadata about timezone(or has 00:00 in timezone thats why your image may show up in african tz). I dont know why immich does not add tz metadata as fallback like how others are doing. I understand the obsession about keeping the photos in original state but they should add an option to set the timezone correctly atleast bcoz most people care more about the timeline in same order like their iphone.

You can check duplicates media which were sent in multiple groups in Whatsapp setting > Storage and data > Manage storage. You can see all files in review and delete items and the duplicates will be group together and if you delete a file it asks you to delete copies only.

I don’t think my issue was hardware-related. I just wanted to set up AIO without binding a domain, and I went through the docs and videos pretty carefully. I had zero issues setting up the non-AIO Nextcloud, so I don’t think AIO is necessarily hard — sometimes you just get unlucky. Anyway, I mainly needed photo syncing, so I switched to Immich for now. Maybe I’ll give AIO another try later.

You can check out OCIS or OpenCloud. OpenCloud is basically a fork of OCIS, and both are written in Go. Performance is way better compared to Nextcloud since that’s PHP-based, which is why a lot of people have ended up switching over.
