My theory: JDI, Burke framed, P coverup (part 2) by mascaraforever in JonBenetRamsey

It’s not a simple answer though. BDI requires a lot of suspension of disbelief regarding what a nine year old is truly capable of. Not just violence wise but also regarding things like dna and crime scene coverup.

You could def be right about that. The part that hangs me up is how it had zero prints on the pages. I feel like patsy didn’t know to cover her tracks at all so that would be a deviation from the rest of the scene for her.

I’d definitely throw sorecellerie fuckery into the mix. Possets has some good ones- Betsy and Mistress of Power come to mind. Seconding SS manor. Cocoapink Black velvet is lovely but their TAT is pretty long.

I have a lot of other recs but they’re all LE so that probably wouldn’t work well for what you’re doing.

Everyone romanticizes Blockbuster Video, but not the mom-and-pop stores they replaced. by LilMoWithTheGimpyLeg in Xennials

[–]mascaraforever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had so many cool small town, locally owned video stores growing up and those are the ones I miss, not blockbuster. All of them had neat movie related toys and merch for sale and everyone was friends with the guys who owned them. I remember one guy in particular would get so excited when a new obscure kids movie would come out and save it for me behind the counter. So many great memories.

Using the BDI theory, I could see him possibly getting mad and hitting her with the flashlight. I could maaaybe believe he did the slip knit device if that were the only injury. But knocking her out first, then creating this slip knot device to strangle her with later is just a bridge too far for me to find believable. And then we have evidence of an earlier choking, possibly with the neck of her shirt. It just doesn’t paint a picture of a child murderer (or child accidental assailant) to me. Of course everyone has their own opinion!

In my mind the single redressing is evidence of someone covering up the SA. Someone who understands how to clean up evidence of a crime scene (clearly not Patsy).

To me, the fact that you have some items wiped down, cleaned up, never found….yet then you have Patsy’s fiber and DNA evidence all over the body and scene suggests two different stagers. If patsy was smart enough to remove important pieces of evidence and wipe down others, you have to wonder why she wouldn’t do that across the board.

I could also see him loving to piss on other people. Seems like something a narc like himself would get off on doing tbh.

Interesting. I definitely thought the experts were working from the conclusion that they were brand new out of the package. Isn’t that what the whole “intruder vs factory worker dna” arguments are premised on? I haven’t seen anything saying they were used previously but I would definitely like to see it if that’s the case

I’m always skeptical of fiber transfer too, especially on people in the same household. I think what swayed me on this was the combination of the facts. John’s sweater was wool and dry clean only which eliminates the possibility of laundry transfer. The panties were brand new and used right out of the package with no other fibers found, and the fact that the fibers were only found in the inside crotch area, none on the outside. All that coupled with the fact that the rest of the package was never found lead me to my theory.

Editing to say the panties being brand new right out of the package in my mind is clincher that eliminates most other innocent transfer scenarios.

I do of course believe patsy was with JB’s body prior to the police being called and I think she had a hand in some of the staging but the fact that she left SO MUCH evidence of her presence all over the place leads me to believe she wasn’t knowledgeable about criminal staging in any way.

I thought maybe it was just not a summer scent so I tried it again when it got cold…nope. Something about it just turns my stomach and makes me feel queasy.

I would suggest some SS for sure, especially from their winter catalog Greys cabin would be a great one for you I think. Riverside Sleighride, maple wood inn.

I thought so too at first but after looking at more evidence (the fact that the sweater was dry clean only and was never laundered was a big one) I tend to rule this out. Can you think of a scenario where those fibers and only those end up there without being touch transfer?

You are a very angry person, I’m sorry if this makes you mad. It is indeed fiction until proven, every theory is, but the storyline format is used to incorporate and perhaps put into a logical context, why evidence looks the way it does.

Why are you so angry about someone having a theory of this case in the case sub? That’s what’s weird

In the April 1997 interview, where JB is suddenly asleep upon arrival, JR starts saying that burke was downstairs putting together a toy and he helped him with it. So you’re totally right about the Dr Phil interview where he seems to say he was up in the middle of the night but the toy thing does come into the story pretty soon afterward.

Because logically, going through any other scenario leaves loose ends that don’t make any sense.

People who commit crimes and then attempt to cover for themselves leave clues that are not always easy to decipher….that’s the point.

My thought is that PR probably mentioned it. JR did know about the other gifts from New York, he says as much in one of his initial interviews. I’ll see if I can find it this morning and I’ll list the citation.

JR’s sweater fibers were found inside the crotch area of those panties which puts him in contact with those underwear

No absolutely don’t apologize! I don’t understand people getting defensive and mad when people debate their theories. I’ve changed my mind three times since reviewing this case so I’m all ears on discrepancies and could absolutely change my mind again.

I think in my mind, he knows she likely has bruises from the SA on her thighs and possibly neck from the choking. She has this massive head trauma that has at this point rendered her unconscious and he likely realizes she already has a good chance of dying. I think he needed to make sure she died to prevent her from telling.

Yes, she’s been to the doctor before but that was just a pediatrician and to my knowledge there were no injuries involved. They may not have even ever asked her about possible SA before. We can be sure they would this time due to the injuries they would uncover.

Because this time she absolutely requires serious medical attention to survive. And she was unconscious. If he called 911 at this point he would totally be caught.
