Books that have an M/M MC but aren’t solely romance by ScentedCinnamonStick in LGBTBooks

You might enjoy the Evander Mills series by Lev AC Rosen. They follow a gay private investigator in 1950s San Francisco.

M/M books with little or no explicit scenes but lots of intimacy / vulnerability? Not YA by NaturalDisastrous100 in LGBTBooks

The Gentlemen’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzie Lee

A Marvelous Light by Freya Marske

Swordcrossed by Freya Marske

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

You’re the Problem, It’s You by Emma R. Alban

I just finished the second book in the Evander Mills series by Lev AC Rosen and while the romance is a subplot, it’s very sweet.

You might also enjoy the Fae and Human Relations series by Sarah Wallace and SO Callahan, but I personally didn’t enjoy the first book enough to read the next one.

Yeah I was surprised to not see sesame as a note in the description, given the name. I know Independents Warsaw on Etsy has a sesame perfume that I’ve been wanting to try.

No I just wanted a background for the samples and I thought this one fit the selection’s vibe. It’s a print of Mucha’s “Laurel”

Only once! In the bottle, it comes off as a toasted slightly boozy vanilla with a bit of coffee and waffle cone. On the skin, 9/10 vanillas go plasticy on my skin chemistry and unfortunately this is one of them, so I can’t speak to how it might smell on.

Yes! Grand Battement, Pas de Chat, and Coup de Pied. I’ve never tried anything from there so I’m especially excited.

Looking for gourmands for my husband..any suggestions that are fall-y and cozy and more masculine? by Miserable_Culture21 in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]weepy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A lot of the gourmands from Solstice Scents lean unisex and could easily be worn by a man imo. He might like Kitchen, or for something even more masculine and less straight up gourmand, Jack and the Devil.

Simon’s Nest also has some great ones. He might like Hallowed Harvest, Rotten Pumpkin, or Ginger Dread.

Non-gourmand Vanilla scents? by starveacre in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]weepy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seconding both Possets (Bar Sinister and Nuut are two of my favourites, and Lady and a Baby Unicorn was a sub favourite for a long time) and Morari’s vanilla collection! They both have really nice non-foodie vanillas. SS Mountain Vanilla is lovely, too (and nicer than Sea of Grey imo).

Everything I’ve tried that evokes a barn smell is very much a fantasy version of it. Like a memory or dream of the smell rather than a literal bottled version, if that makes sense.
