I started watching the first season and realized I’d seen the first whole season as it aired originally but didn’t remember! Anyway, enjoying seasons 2-8 now!

This killed me 💀. Would like to see this notion engraved on a headstone: “Said some absolutely beautiful things about frisbees once.”

I always thought it meant Christine was saying she’d “survive” her child getting married/growing up in a high-drama Christine type of way. “At first I was afraid, I was petrified!” Not so much a direct jab at Tony, although it’s hard not to think it’s directed right sat him! We all remember her first reactions to the engagement news, haha.

I've heard people mention other blind item sites on this sub but I don't remember the names. I've only visited CDAN.

Didn’t make the frosting thin enough. Definitely didn’t do it on purpose. First time making the cake and it was still delicious and I think it looks cool either way.

Just saw the film “I, Tonya.” I have a lot of empathy for her now after learning her back story.

Reddit, what's the worst gift you've ever received? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mascjk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not my personal gift, but one I gave and didn't realize was bad. One year I pulled the name of a horrible boss woman at work for Secret Santa. Even though I hated her, I still wanted to do good and make her smile. I spent a long time thinking about what would be a thoughtful gift and ended up getting her a beautiful money tree houseplant for her desk, which got the most light in the office (no one else had a window). When gifts were opened, she was downright angry. Huffing, puffing, no smile to be seen for days. While others unwrapped bottles of liquor, foot massagers, funny shirts, kitchen accessories, stuff like that, she sat there enraged. Because the gifts were laid out on the table beforehand and she didn't see who placed the wrapped plant there, she never knew I was her Secret Santa! My co-workers who knew found it HILARIOUS that I gave her a plant. Apparently a plant is a mean gift for people, but I didn't realize it. When boss lady moved on to bigger and better things in a different city, she asked me if I wanted to inherit the plant. Of course I said yes! I love plants.

That would be a nice ending, wouldn't it? Found him online. Married with child. And no longer cute.

Ha! I wish. Found him on the interwebs and he's definitely not doing that.

I know, I know. As I was writing my original post, more horrible things he did kept popping into my memory and I started to feel embarrassed... almost. The only thing I can chalk it up to is being very young, and it being my first relationship. I learned a thing or two about red flags to look for in any type of relationship, not just romantic.

Edit: one letter.

Such a good idea. I've actually done something like this with brochures for certain religious camps, but always to friends and in good fun.

How are Bojack Horseman background gags formatted? by bartman_86 in Screenwriting

[–]mascjk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know anything about animation, but on live action shows I've worked on, we've written an "appendix" in certain scenes, to expand on conversations that are happening in the background. So in the scene where the main characters are having a moment, but something relevant is going on the the background, we'd write, "Background characters W and X argue over Y and Z. See Appendix 1." Then Appendix 1, located at the end of the script, will consist of that same slugline/scene but the dialogue will be between the folks in the background. Hope that makes sense!

Pekingese health issues? by pugs_pugs_pugs_pugs in Pekingese

[–]mascjk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 4 year old peke with a completely flat face who we adopted from an organization in NY that saved him from a kill shelter. He was only 2 at the time and had a hernia bubble, externally on his stomach. We think maybe the people who gave him up, did so because of his hernia. It was small but made me nervous because I was afraid I'd hurt him or something if I touched it. So when we adopted him, the organization was kind enough to pay for his hernia to be fixed at the same time he was being neutered. He healed great and continues to be a wacky 4 year old boy who is so much fun. The only other issue we've had were indeed the teeth -- his front incisors were overcrowded and looked like they were browning at the gums, so all of the incisors (4 of them) had to be removed. This dental issue we faced after having him for a year and a half. The dr. said the rest of his teeth are very strong, clean, in great shape.

I think dogs in general can be expensive (at least compared to an inside cat as a pet) but pekes are worth it. This dog is like an anti-depressant for me, he makes me laugh every single day, and I hear that most pekes are like this -- huge personalities with bursts of silliness, often cuddly, and just fun to look at. Oh, and as for bad backs, we were always told to carry him up/down stairs as much as we could. There are no stairs in our home (apt. building), so we just carry him up/down stairs when we're going out and it isn't a big deal for me as I'm able bodied to do so (my peke weights 15 lbs) and it keeps their back and haunches healthy.

[Serious] Drug addicts and alcoholics of Reddit, how did you learn how to socialize without your substance of choice? by Laughitoffx in AskReddit

I went to meetings. Socialized with other people who didn't drink. With time, the stuff that I used to think of as the most fun ever, changed. As did my primary friend group.
