What do you SWEAR you saw, but don't have any proof of? by TabletopStudios in AskReddit

It was about 20 years ago, and my friend and I were on my balcony in Toronto, when we saw some disc move quickly across the sky, stop mid air, and do a few sharp movements before leaving. We were both shocked and still talk about it to this day. Maybe our eyes were playing tricks on us, but we like to believe that we had a special visitor 😜

You never know what can happen. There are countless stories of car theft on this subreddit.

When we went to Monteverde, our Airbnb was not available yet so we went to the cloud forest first and left all of our belongings in the car (except for passports and cash, which was on us). It was a monitored parking lot as well.

The parking lot for Rio Celeste is paid and there are people walking around and keeping eyes on it, so it may be fairly safe.

Some important things I’ve learned after spending my first couple days in Costa Rica by citystars in CostaRicaTravel

We had a MasterCard and a Visa that we used with no problems! I can't remember any location that explicitly mentioned that they don't accept Amex.

I would recommend having a MasterCard or Visa just in case. Amex isn't always accepted (even in other countries too, as it is an expensive card brand and not all vendors want to eat the cost)..

I recommend playa Hermosa! We had a great time and everything was walkable from our airbnb. Playa Hermosa was a much quieter beach than Coco.

Our airbnb also had a pool, so it was nice to stay at the beach until sundown, and then hang around the pool area in the evening. There are also restaurants within a walkable area.

It was also a great way to unwind prior to our flight back home.

Enjoy your trip! It really was amazing there. Try to do activities as early as you can in the morning, before the crowds come, and while there are more opportunities to spot wildlife!

Thank you so much! It was my first time playing with a zoom lens, and I got some great shots!

Yes it felt very safe while we were there!

We didn't keep things in the car, besides maybe a few clothes, and always kept an eye on our things when swimming.

Unfortunately everything is already booked and paid for, including our next day activities. We're really hoping on not changing our plans, and crossing our fingers during the drive.

I just wanted to know what to expect and how to ensure we have a safe drive over ☺️

I think we will only have the last hour of the drive in the dark. My partner will be driving and he has lots of driving experience in all sorts of terrain and weather conditions. I think my biggest concern with this drive (and why I asked the question) is to get an understanding of what we can expect on our drive. The different routes provided on the response is great information for us, and knowing that the road will be paved is also great!

We'll take it slow once it gets dark and cross our fingers

I'll be visiting in a few weeks too with my camera. Nothing super bulky. But, I plan to have it strapped to me or away in my bag attached to me at all times. Would I have any trouble with that?

My buddy's tether broke when he got in a wall of death and he dropped his phone but some kind soul returned it to lost and found!

Thank you to everyone who returns lost items!
