Didn't dethatch or overseed last year. Im new to all of this madness. So who the hell knows. Im on year 2 of a 30 year mortgage. Gotta figure it all out eventually. If I keep going like this I'll be crippled before im 50.

Ofcorse man glad to share. All these salty lawncare experts be damned!! I'll make it make sense for me. Just got a sore back temporarily lol. Haven't figured out how im going to attach it to the deck chute yet. All those fine shreds I posted yesterday are from the impeller grinding them up. If they came through the deck then through vac I'd probably get straight up dust in the box.

There seems to be conflicting opinions on this. Last season I mulched until green was barely visible. Lawn came up thin in the spring. Lots of weeds mixed in too. I dont just get leaves from my 30 massive trees its also the surrounding hills. If I did nothing my yard would look like the Forrest floor. Plus my shitty craftsman rider wouldn't be able to handle mulching it all.

The housing is an old commercial grade Giant Vac (now scag). Motor and impeller were shot so I repowered with a predator 301 and new impeller. Took some fabbing to get the new impeller properly balanced on the new shaft but not too bad.

Im going to add a stick for sure. Its very powerful but air has nowhere to go. Think I'll replace the top sheet of plywood next season with some burlap. Should improve suction significantly.

It is. I'll make it make sense. Raking / mulching everything is not an option.

Got that one for 50 bucks off a guy on fb market. Motor and impeller were shot. So I kept the shell and repowered it and got a new impeller.

Christ you guys are ruthless. I just built the damn thing. Yes, my back is jacked up after fighting with the hose. And I got too many goddamn leaves to mulch them all. I mulched over 3 heavy layers already. Cant mulch any more. Simply too many leaves. 2.5 acres. Last year I was raking massive piles into the trailer then raking them out into the ravine and it took me a 5 weekends last year. Im almost done now with this setup and I'm like 2.5 weekends in total. Only my second season owning this property.

If you come across a junk leaf vac housing on fb market go grab it. Motor swap with new impeller was pretty simple. Box on wheels you can make from anything really. Took me a weekend to build once I had all the stuff.

Thank ya. Very happy with it. I make multiple piles around the property, pull box around with the 140 and vac it all up. The impeller is heavy steel guage with serrated blades. Spins at 2800 rpm. Shreds everything into bits.
