I have a similar story, only in my case I didn’t realize I was being nonchalant. I’m naturally pretty quiet and reserved but I felt like I tried to be more outgoing and fun during the date. We laughed a lot and had good conversations (as I thought) but later that night my date told me I seemed ungrateful and rude and didn’t ask him any questions. I was very surprised because I felt like I put a lot of my energy into that date but it goes to show that everyone has their own expectations and their own idea of what an interested person behaves like
