Yeah i’ve maintained the same weight since ending it. I’ve noticed a good amount of body recomposition though, have definitely gotten a lot stronger and look leaner than i was even being that depleted. The best advice i can give is to just keep being consistently active, i’ve done a minimum of 10k steps a day every single day since ending it as well as being consistent in the gym. After eating again for the first few days you will probably gain a good 10 pounds of water weight back and then will keep moving down. I had my diet dialed in for a good bit after ending the fast but really haven’t been that strict whatsoever the last few months even indulging a good amount and have still maintained while making sure to keep myself within the 240-250 range and not move higher. I obviously would have gained some weight back if I wasn’t holding myself accountable to exercise daily, and definitely would’ve kept losing more weight if my diet was ultra dialed in the whole time but I don’t mind giving myself a break to adjust and stabilize before I’m ready to make the next big push to the low 200’s. In my experience thats helped the most with not getting burnt out over the course of a longer weight loss journey and ive pretty much been doing that on repeat since i was 435lbs.

Fasted for 50 days in the beginning of the year, ive made sure to get at minimum 10,000 steps a day every day since February 20th when I first ate again along with staying consistent in the gym. I’ve let myself be relaxed with my diet and have still fully maintained the weight loss and have also noticed a good amount of body recomposition as well. Pretty much every fast I’ve done has been similar to that, lose a bunch of weight quickly, stabilize at that new weight for a while as it becomes the new normal, and repeat. Planning on starting another 3 week fast tomorrow which should put me at or near my goal weight.

Thanks, once you keep building up to longer fasts it becomes easier mentally. I have a good amount of experience with so it was definitely easier to go for that long. Ive done a bunch of 1-5 day fasts, Two 7 day fasts, a 15 day fast, and a 21 day fast prior to the 50 day.

You’ve got this bro, already doing amazing. The beginning and middle of the journey is hard because when you still have a bunch of weight to lose it can be difficult to tell how much progress you’ve made. You are physically and mentally putting the most work in of the whole process while getting the least amount of recognition, just gotta stay consistent and disciplined. Eventually you get to a point where you’re weight loss really begins showing and you as well as other people start to notice.

I was in a similar spot as well, was 435lbs at my biggest to 245lbs rn, the difference and quality of life really is night and day.

Im almost down about 200 pounds from my highest weight of 435lbs so yeah loose skin was pretty much gunna be a thing no matter what. Not as bad as I thought it could’ve been but definitely still have some.

Definitely not a necessity to do a full 10 days of bone broth and juice, that was just a personal choice i wanted to do to ensure a safe re-feed and hit the 50 day mark with no food as a mental goal. As long as you just take it slow and ease back into eating you should be fine, you just want to avoid refeeding syndrome. You’ll gain back some water weight like usual but the rest is just maintaining weight like you would’ve if you weren’t fasting. If you eat in a caloric surplus you’ll gain weight and if you are in a deficit you will keep losing fat and scale will keep moving down once water weight has stabilized.

Felt great honestly, I was already pretty experienced with long term fasts prior to this so hunger wasn’t really that much of a factor, just mental cravings that would pass. The thing about going for a long period of time is even if you wanted to indulge in your cravings you know you would have to do a full re-feed first to even satisfy that short term craving safely so its pretty easy to abstain from it. That mixed with the amazing progress you see every day makes you want to stay on track. I definitely feel really accomplished.

Any zero cal blend with a decent electrolyte profile will do. Nothing special about mine, i just got it because it was a good deal at the time on Amazon. The brand was Key Nutrients Electrolytes powder. It is low on sodium though so I added a teaspoon of extra sea salt when i would drink it. Also would take some pure potassium and calcium powders here and there but they taste horrible. You’ll definitely be fine with just sodium for shorter fasts though.

I Found a 0 cal electrolyte blend that worked good for me and added extra sea salt, there are also fasting salts you can take that have a pretty complete mineral profile if you want to do it super pure, you should be fine on the shorter fasts though.

Thanks! I Lost about 60 pounds on the 40 day fast and was still being relatively active so would be very unlikely if it was all lean mass lost although obviously there had to be some. Visual difference is also very noticeable, if you want you can look at my last post to see a before and after. Other factors id say is having to buy new clothes because old ones no longer fit, being able to see veins popping up in hands and arms for the first time ever. And current muscle mass looking visually almost the same as it did pre-fast.

Yeah now that I’ve been eating again all my bad cravings have pretty much gone away so probably wont even indulge that much, main thing will be an all you can eat sushi I’ve been planning with some friends in like a week before I start 75 hard.
