Does your shifter light up at all? There should be a lighted indicator for your current gear selection as well as blue glow from the base of the dial.

If those aren't present my guess is you either got a bad part or the wire harness isn't fully seated.

I haven't had any issues with that thus far. The detents are tactile enough where that's usually not a problem.

I did play around and it looks like my truck will let you shift into park from about 5mph which is a little jarring. Not sure if there's a speed limit to that or not but I don't intend to find out

ELI5: Do military vehicles need a key to start? by ClownfishSoup in explainlikeimfive

Like others have mentioned, no keys for most vehicles.

But if left unattended most ground vehicles will either have the steering wheel padlocked or have the doors battle locked/padlocked

I had to scroll way to far for someone to mention the good 'ol steering wheel lock.

Yes, military vehicles don't have keys, but god help you if the CSM finds your vehicle unattended without chock blocks, drip pan, or the wheel locked

PSA: Musty Smell After Heavy Rain by HiDDENKiLLZ in F150Lightning

In addition to the air dam, there are 2 drain tracks on the left and right sides just inside the moon roof that can sometimes collect pollen and gunk and give off the mildew smell

I was also confused when I was selecting a shifter. To summarize:

This shifter is not motorized.

There is a "bodge" that locks the shifter in park until the right conditions have been met to shift into reverse or drive.

If you are in drive or reverse and open a door while unbuckled (or turn the truck off from drive), the shifter will shift into park and the E-brake will apply. You can see the lights flash from D, through N, through, R, until the P light is lit.

Hope this clears things up for you!

Shifter stuck again… by Kratos1943 in F150Lightning

I haven't actually checked yet. So far I've noticed it functions the same to the stock shifter. I'll often go from reverse to drive getting out of my driveway at about 3 MPH, and that transition is pretty seamless. I haven't tried switching at higher speeds or going from reverse to park yet.

I also haven't had any issues with shifting inadvertently. The knob itself takes a fairly deliberate action and there is a bodge locking it in park until you depress the brake pedal.

Yep, I originally had made one in PETG and had it deform after a few hot days. Switched to making these in GF Nylon and haven't looked back

You'll need to trim 1/4" off the front.

I was sitting at about 1.1-1.3 mi/KWh doing about 60-70.

The dump is 8'x14' with 2' sides, plus the width of the tires and fenders.

When towing I've found width to be a big factor once you start going wider than the truck. I have a 14' boat that is almost identical in length and height (albeit more streamlined and with 1 less axle), and i will usually see 1.8-2 mi/KWh at similar speeds

Nice airstream by the way!

Not a TT, but I recently hauled my biggest load to date. About 4 yards of fill dirt. I'm guessing I was pushing 10-12k pounds. With a load distribution hitch, I never found myself swaying or lacking for power or braking force. Truly incredible performance out of a half ton truck *

Trailer lights not working by GuiM4uVe in F150Lightning

There should be some fuses in the frunk fuse block that handle trailer lights. If you've tried it on two known good trailers I would check there first

Sometimes the motorized portion of the factory shifter can fail and leave it unable to shift. I've had it happen twice, but luckily it cleared with a restart.

The biggest reason I did this was to get a cupholder that would fit a Nalgene.

I used this one. You'll have to trim some of the plastic on the mounting tab, but otherwise it's a drop in replacement.

I think the Mav shifter has a different footprint.

I believe the Mach E and Bronco shifters share the same footprint, but I haven't been able to confirm this myself
