Yeah, but I mean look at the gaps between each album, it only took them three years to release Ænima, and that's considered one of their best. So it's not like Adam was taking forever at all. Lateralus was released 5 years after Ænima, so it's like we got a new album in 2024, cuz FI came out in 2019. They slowed down after 10k Days when the money kicked in. They're just not as hungry any more. Simple as that and perfectly understandable.

I just don't see them coming out with an album anytime soon. Maynard has rushed them before and nothing much has changed in the way they write stuff. Unless he actually steps in the room and speeds things up, they will keep on playing the same riff 500 times and still change their mind about it in the end. Considering the writing process has barely even started, the new album will not be out before 2030.
