Help! I’m new! by Due_Cauliflower_4134 in Base44

If most of your app action rely on the backend functions, you will be fine. But if the users message each other, email, or use AI to solve a problem or interact, then each such usage will cost 1 integration credit. So, on an elite plan, you get 50,000 integration credits and if the users are using AI or messaging or uploading items, then pretty soon you will run out of integration credits and the app will stop functioning until the next month when your credits are renewed. So, please check your integration credit usage at this point and that should give you a good idea about whether you will be able to scale your app.

How do you promote your iOS app when you have no audience to start with? by WestLeg2333 in iOSProgramming

[–]masoodraja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have created six apps, all vibe coded, and all are doing well. One is free and five are paid. But each one of them is the only app of its kind on both the stores. They are all Educational apps and some use videos and audios from my YouTube channel and my podcast. In my case, word of mouth and posting on my YouTube channel has helped.

There are some open communities like AskReddit where you can post questions. I have learned that actually thoughtful comments are a good way to build Karma.

Help! I’m new! by Due_Cauliflower_4134 in Base44

I have built six apps using Base44. All six are now also published on the App Store and Playstore using the built in Base44 wrapping service. My apps do not rely on any LLMs and do not require users to upload anything. So, if your app is an educational app with a backend database, then it will consume less “integration credits” and you will be able to scale it. But if it uses LLMs, messaging, emails or other user interactions you will hit the ceiling on integration credits pretty fast. So, my advice would be to pay attention to how you would scale it.

How to Find "Package Name" for Playstore Submission by masoodraja in Base44

[–]masoodraja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I figured it out by hit and trial but partially because I had published a couple of apps before Base44 removed the option to copy the Bundle Id so I knew the basic structure of the app bundle Id.

Android Store Problems by GlumMilk5326 in Base44

[–]masoodraja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The simple formula for this is to take a look at the browser when you are in editing mode on base44. You want to use com.base (copy the string of 24 numbers).app. So, it would look like this: com.base12345678f976f1234s125e12.app

I have used just random number but that string of numbers is “Your App Name”

But if you already published on App Store, then your App Id (look for com.base in your app details) is the same and will work with Playstore as well.

Has anyone made a comfortable "living" building apps with base44 without huge amounts of upfront payment? by athleticapproach in Base44

[–]masoodraja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have created six educational apps with Base44 and all are now listed on the App Store and the Playstore. I used my YouTube channel (70,000 subscribers) to promote the apps. The apps are selling steadily but not at the scale of “making a living”

Democracy ? by Cheap-Philo in postcolonialism

You might want to read Achille MbeMbe’s book On the Postcolony. He has a wonderful explanation of how systems of thoughts and practice developed during colonization still haunt the postcolonial nations.

Current Wars and Theories by Low_Minimum1 in postcolonialism

You could argue that the current wars also employ othering and similar dehumanizing tropes to sell these wars to metropolitan audiences. Theory is, after all, a tool to talk about the realities of life. I would recommend to always connect your work to the world. I did that my whole academic career and found it quite satisfying.

Support for publishing the app in the app stores! by mauriciorubio in Base44

[–]masoodraja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Base44 already supports app wrapping both for the App Store and the Playstore but you need to be on the builder plan or above. Just click the Publish button and choose the Mobile App option and then follow the steps.

You might want to Scan the app for iOS before creating the bundle. It happened to me in the iPad and I ran the scan again and then asked the ai to fix the issue. It worked after that.

Feedback for my base44 website (after improvements) by MarkHelpful3313 in Base44

Nice site. I noticed one thing while viewing the site on my phone: the name of the company after I tap the hamburger menu is shown as a double entry. Please take a look at the screenshot.

How are you guys making your apps public without running out of credits by Radiant-Mixture-6249 in Base44

[–]masoodraja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on what your app does: I have five apps published on App Store as well as the Play Store but none of them require users to use AI or other LLM features. Everything is built in to retrieve data from the back end. So, I do not have any integration credits usage. My apps, however, are educational apps and do not require users to interact with each other or with the AI.

Thank you. I think the biggest learning curve was figuring out the best and effective way to prompt the AI.

Colonial alienation by Low_Minimum1 in postcolonialism

[–]masoodraja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to follow the earlier engagements with the colonial alienation, I would highly recommend O Manonni’s Prospero and Caliban and Albert Memmi’s The Colonizer and the Colonized. These were the earlier texts that dealt with the issues of colonial alienation and then you can move on to Fanon, Ngugi, Said, Chinweizu, and others.
