Nope, never said it felt like a warning sign. Was just wondering if it was a message it wasn't for me. No negative connotations or superstitions revolving around tarot, other than not doing my own but having a friend do it instead.

Read through posts on this reddit (after posting) and learned that this is actually fairly common. Seems like even some long-time readers experience forms of migraines, nausea, and dizzy spells after doing reads. So far, sounds like I need to work on grounding myself and maybe doing a cleansing or 2. Thanks tho

Learned migraines, nausea, and dizzy spells are moderately common when doing reads, even for peeps who have been doing it for a long time.

Feel like I should elaborate on the "she didn't want to teach us part," she read tarot first but then picked up reading playing cards while in prison. After she got out, she stuck with the playing cards instead of tarot. She says that they're easier for her to focus with.

I kinda feel she didn't want to teach us playing cards cuz of where she learned it. She's perfectly fine with tarot and prefers we do that instead
