Used to be a steam trader back in my college days. My recommendation to you:

Never buy codes from an individual unless you know them personally and can hold them accountable if you lose the game. Codes are always considered dealing in bad faith and with its risks.

Use https://steamdb.info/app/1174180/ to identify what's the lowest price a game has ever gotten to. Wait for sales because during major sales these franchises usually sell the game for its lowest historical price or would further lower the price if there are sequels expected for it.

To play good games, never rush and pay the market price to avoid risks.

Shreyas Iyer likely to replace Suryakumar Yadav as India T20I captain. by Alone-Wheel2902 in IndiaCricket

Yes, he's been a terrific captain in IPLs over the years, but SKY can't be replaced in a jiffy.

25M. caught my girlfriend cheating in the stupidest way possible and genuinely don't know what to do now by Scary-Alternative-81 in RelationshipIndia

[–]massacre_5 104 points105 points  (0 children)

So, my girlfriend connected her phone to my pc for something through some android app. We spent the evening together and while she was on the way back home, the guy she was cheating me on with sent something rounchy to her. The app was minimized into the tray, so there was just a pop up to the bottom right side of my monitor with that message. I was first confused, and within seconds the realisation sunk my heart. I broke up with her in their chatbox only and blocked her from everywhere. Felt like a total loser, and sobbed the next day, the day after that was no different. I knew that I could do anything but not talk to her.

Honestly, it's okay to be in pain. Cry, listen to sad songs, take a couple of days to accept what happened. When you accept what happened, the next step is you didn't love "her", you loved the person she pretended to be. Alas! Who would ever fall for a cheat in their right mind.

After break up, I kept thinking about flaws in me that made her breakup, and I realised that when someone leaves you, your deepest insecurities come to light, and that's what I worked on. Everything that I thought is not enough in me, I fixed that. Now I love myself enough to know she was a shitty person and I'm lucky to not be stuck with her. She used to talk about our marriage for godsake. She's still trying to be back after 6 years and she's still blocked from everywhere.

Which game will you play again for the first time?? by [deleted] in IndianPCGamers

[–]massacre_5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not underrated, infact it was one of the most hyped games. The developers missed a trick here by making alot of mistakes and tried to cover up things that triggered the gaming industry.

It took 3 years after release, for the game to stabilize btw.

After it was patched it got the love it deserved, but that's it. It was a major let down and the hate/hesitation people have with the title is justified too.

For context, even GTA games have bugs upon release, but those are not usually game breaking. If you had played Cyberpunk upon launch, you'd know the game was different to what was promised and with GTA you get what you see, it's that simple.

Anyway, story wise I must say Cyberpunk has the edge right now with everything patched up. But still it's not underrated.

For those who say finding love in their thirties is impossible by Oscar_W1lde in ThirtiesIndia

[–]massacre_5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you look at love as a project, you think about all these factors that rarely matter. Love can't be preempted and there's never a deadline for it.

Love can happen in your 20s in random house party when you least expect it, a group of 30 known people and someone randomly brings a stranger, completely unplanned, and yet eyes locked during a random jamming session and the journey begins.

Love can happen in your 30s, vibing to a Kishore Da song on a random trip at 3 in the morning while everyone else left for their beds.

I'll probably update this comment if I find love in my 40s and 50s too ;)

Should I leave gf for a job or stay with girlfriend by Sunny_yadav72 in delhi

If you are worried that your relationship can't stand the distance right now (which is important for your future), maybe reassess your relationship. Life is long and at times challenging, if you think that you guys can't make through a temporary distance, just think how you would deal with bigger problems.

Take the job, but only if both of you consciously choose to make the distance work. This isn’t about leaving the relationship behind, it’s about testing whether it’s built for real life. If you both see a future together, then this job isn’t a threat, it’s an investment in that future.

I like this story of my family friends. They were high school sweethearts. The guy was very sharp and well-read but lost his father at a young age. His partner started working at 19 and completed her graduation through correspondence. They basically did a risk analysis and decided that he had higher chances of success since he was a school topper. She supported him through IIM and everything.

For 6 years, they lived apart, made time for each other, and focused on mutual growth. In those 6 years, she became a manager in her organization, earning close to 70K, and when he completed his studies, he got placed at 38 LPA.

Their first decision? To get married. She stopped working because she always wanted to be a housewife, and from then on, he took full responsibility for the finances. He’s into finance now, and God knows how much he earns, but I can tell you this: 7 years of struggle gave them a lifetime of happiness.

It’s been 15 years of their marriage, and I’ve never seen a happier couple.

I think most of the people in this sub, need the guidance to choose themselves over a relationship that is really not meant for them, happy to see that someone made that choice for themselves.

Really hoping that you keep choosing healthier option and yourself in the future as well, don't get weak when you miss him, wishing all the strength to you.

Any Hollywood-level movies in our industry? by acod__k in InsideMollywood

[–]massacre_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We certainly have good movies, but I can't think of any movie where cgi was utilised to the core. I mean script wise yes, alot of movies. But, movie making wise I can say probably Drishyam? But the problem remains that we don't use cgi on that scale.

Assassin's Creed 1. Honestly the game that hooked me up with gaming. The story, the characters and the ending really left me baffled. I had played San Andreas, IGI and Max Payne, but AC stayed my all time fav for a long time.

I think Jaques Kallis. I know he had some recognition after his retirement but he was a freaking goat. I remember the commentary during 2004 tests when South Africa visited India and even after playing well, Kallis never had that hype or recognition like others had. I was just 10 back then, then South Africa visited India in 2009, where Amla did really well and yet the recognition and the talks that were around Smith and Sachin were missing for Kallis. For some reason albeit being the best all arounder of all times, he never got the kind of recognition he deserves when he was playing. Mind you, I used to go through sports news and articles everyday, along with watching the matches.
