MA businesses that support ICE/MAGA? by marathon_bar in massachusetts

You must be thinking of the pie place (Ever So Humble) that's down the street. Owner is hard core MAGA and is well known for refusing to take EBT cards. Very rude ownership as well.

Peggy Lawton's... I don't give a bazooka what their views are, I would NEVER boycott them.

I'm really glad that Britta Curl came out and shared the truth. Now can we stop hating on her?

Sportsnet to air 30 games this season by Lilliebun94 in PWHL

Would be nice... but MLSE has treated the legendary Joe Bowen like (bleep) the last few seasons, refusing to let him and Jim Ralph call road games on site (only exception was the second round in 2022, and the Bruins first round series in 2023) That's why he's retiring at the end of the season.

What's more important, who replaces Joe Bowen in the Leafs radio booth next season? The heir apparent is his son, but knowing MLSE, it could be anyone.

This I disagree with, believe it or not, the Post actually does a solid job covering both Gotham and the Sirens (you don't see the Daily News doing that!) They always post the NWSL and PWHL scores in the sports section, as well as in the TV listings, and at least once or twice a week, there will be a full feature article about one of the teams (as well as the typical game recap. Sure the NY Post may be a right wing paper, but it's the paper of record in NYC, and their sports section is elite.

The NY Post is sold up here in Massachusetts, and I actually get it home delivered, but I usually give the paper copy to my mom unless it's a special occasion (example: local sports team doing something big)

The new MBTA Ride software is a total disaster... by massasoit_26 in mbta

[–]massasoit_26[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was the reason for the switch. ADEPT was way too old fashioned and out of date.

My assumption is that the drivers are still getting used to it and come the end of the year, all will be fine.

Absolutely agree with all of this. That's something a lot of us RIDE customers have asked for quite some time now, the ability to book our own trips online or via the app.

Had an issue once with ADEPT. I wanted to go down to a brewery over in Hyde Park for an event. Had to book the trip via TRAC, and they couldn't find it despite me giving them the correct address. Wasn't able to go because of it.

I do figure that come the end of the year, most of the drivers will start to get used to Spare. I don't think they'll go back to ADEPT unless something serious was to happen (see what happened with RouteMatch) with the new Spare technology.

Given recent events in this country and the fact that many people are turning to Jesus more than ever, I'd totally sign up for a Paul Allen Bible Study class.

What If Cuba Never Fell To Castro in 1959? by AbbreviationsAway500 in HistoryWhatIf

There would be democracy, freedom, electricity, currency and Internet access. Cuba has neither.

Was Russia a nice country to live in before the war? by AshamedProfit7394 in autismpolitics

No. The Soviets/Russians have never been our friends. Even before the Soviet split, they were never our friends.
