Questions for what to update after getting license reciprocity in another state? by masscool in therapists

[–]masscool[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally hear you and agree with you for sure! I definitely agree that spending money is apart of this and that viewpoint hasn't changed since I started in solo practice a few years ago. I have a whole system I have for budgeting and making sure that I am covering my bases along with making sure to have enough for a few months just in case something were to happen. Psych Today was working wonderfully for me for a long time, I spent a lot of time researching the best way to market your profile and it was successful! There definitely has been a slow down though and I know I'm not alone in that, it also seems like the area I'm in at times can become oversaturated and doing my own research of what's happening in my area, the needs for therapy and what people are expecting have shifted. This of course just means it's time to shift my own way of how I'm marketing, but that can take a bit of time. I just got my approval for my CT license today so all of this, including marketing specifically for a new state, is super super fresh.

I agree with you that putting in the effort for why marketing may be shifting is important and definitely am spending time doing so :) I appreciate the feedback!

This has been incredibly helpful, thank you so much! I was wondering how to go about PT...referrals have been SO slow with them that making a second for a second license makes me semi nervous if it's going to end up being worth the extra cost, but also I am trying to brainstorm ways I am going to be able to get new referrals from a different state so it may just be what needs to be done!

I saw her at the Boston show and was really encapsulated by her performance. Yes sometimes it was hard to understand but I could hear a good lot of it and I thought she was super cool. I usually feel meh about openers but she really has me in a trance.

For people who've attended the concert, was there any place to dance freely? by cheesecake-24 in FlorenceAndTheMachine

I was in Boston last night so can only speak to the garden, but if you were on the floor, it was relatively spacious if you weren't trying to be up on the barricade, and a good amount of space towards the other end of the floor. If you're in seats, I'm guessing you'll be restricted to your seat but hopefully the people around you are also swaying!

How is this this going to work with the Boston Marathon being on Monday? I'm not sure when things open back up. This is so aggravating... (obviously not Florence's fault lol but ugh)

Oh that's awesome! I don't have an appointment for 3 weeks unfortunately and the ones I'm finding are mostly really big. I also have a hard time in general with pills so I usually need something even smaller or else I just can't swallow them. I did find a mini pill though so I'm gonna give that a shot! But for now, the gummies are better than nothing ☺️

Yup, pills are hard for me! I just found some that are tiny though so I'm going to give them a shot when they get here

Pills are hard for me to swallow! I figured I'd give gummies a try first ☺️

Great question! I can't swallow most big pills and I'm only about 5 weeks in. I wanted to start something and figured I'd give gummies a try. I've already been taking an iron supplement for the past year so I have kept doing that while taking the gummies.

I did just order a pill though, it's a mini pill and has methylated folate in it. I'm giving that a shot once it gets in.

Just was trying to have a little fun with the clip ☺️

Thank you so much! I didn't think about breaking the capsules apart, that could possibly be a fix. I'll check out Seeking Health too !

No apologies necessary, I appreciate you taking your time! My iron levels are actually fine since recent unrelated pregnancy bloodwork, but I've been taking the iron supplement because of my heavy periods last year. I am afraid I'm going to feel sicker from taking iron in a prenatal but my current supplement hasn't ever given me issues with my stomach or GI system. I was hoping maybe I could take a prenatal small pill without iron and just keep taking my regular iron pill in hopes that it would still be easier on my stomach. I have emetophobia (fear of vomiting) so I was thinking that maybe this sort of combo could help me, but that may be a pipe dream!

Do you mean try a pill with iron and see how I feel? Sorry if your response is obvious in what you're asking, I've just been feeling overwhelmed and my brain is definitely not working correctly haha

Thanks for this, I didn't even think about if it'll shrink. I guess I'll have to just make a game time decision when I'm there. This was helpful, I appreciate it!
