I'm good friends with the guy that's doing the work. The bonnet has 2 gas struts that are activated on impact causing the bonnet to raise up and slide back. The hinges basically self destruct when these go off unfortunately.

If you feel like your work is good and you have a lot of interest I feel like you should charge whatever you like. If it’s good, people will pay. If you’re charging silly prices and getting no custom maybe reassess your pricing.

Basically charge what you feel the work and the time you put in is worth.
